For the love of all that is good… In retaliation for the way Sony handled the PlayStation Network breach, a group of hackers (presumably the same hackers who took down the PSN and stole your data) are looking to hack the system again this weekend. Yup, just as the PSN is set to come back online, they want to fuck everyone in the most uncomfortable of places. I’m not talking about the back of a Volkswagen.
According to CNET, chatter on IRC has indicated a new attack will go down this weekend. The hackers are claiming to still have access to the Sony servers, which I don’t necessarily buy since the network was locked down by three forensic security firms and moved to a new physical location. So, you hack in and steal everyone’s personal data, then you get called out to Congress, then you threaten to hack the network again because you got called out? Smart. Really smart. This whole ordeal has been an utter clusterfuck. There’s no other way to put it.
If Sony doesn’t have every single server and computer on extreme lockdown behind the most sophisticated firewalls that can be constructed, there is going to be a riot if the PSN gets re-hacked this weekend. I don’t even want to think about what’ll happen if this shit goes down. Can you tell by the amount of cursing in this post that I’m fairly pissed about the entire situation?

as a PS3 gamer, this make me sad, sure a bit of good has come out of this, like free PSN plus and some free games (Thank you Sony) but now Xbox gamers are making fun of us PS3 gamers, why can’t they just go hack Microsoft instead of Sony again, then maybe more people will work on some sorta super security, yes I’m a young gamer but I’m still out raged

That’s not exactly true, they can hack them while they are working on the servers beacause Sony’s firewall protection is outdated. There is no security, and it wouldn’t give an exact location because the hackers more than likely are using something they can get rid of easily. Plus the hackers can tell when they are being tracked and can redirect the track somewhere else, its pretty much a decoy. The Sony company should hire hackers that will help them hack back the system, then the hired hacker/hackers can trace where the one hacker that hacked PSN is and then can get Law Enforcement to arrest them.

It appears to me, these hackers hack into Playstation Network, because of either their friend Geo. Or. Because they faced recourse of this in some way. But instead of taking it as it is, all these hackers are, is a bunch of retarded dogs. Why? If i had any say on what PSN should do, i think they should just shut the entire network down and restart. Yeah it will take a long time to restore but its probably worth the time! They could restore their Firewall protection, which will boost their security level about 5-10x what it is now. It would probably take a lot of money too…
