After a bit of conflict between our servers and the comment system we implemented a month or so back, a few features disappeared for a little while. One that we all wanted and you have asked for is Subscribe to Comments, a feature that made a return this week to Loot Ninja. You can now select to be notified by email when anyone responds to your comments or posts in threads where you’ve left your thoughts.
We’re happy to have this back and hope everyone enjoys the feature. This should add to some more lively discussion around here, which is something we all want.
Let us know what you think of Subscribe to Comments coming back and what other features you’d like to see at Loot Ninja!

I don’t know about you, but there are a handful of games that I haven’t had nearly enough time to play. Some games are just too long for me to finish while moving on to new games for review and coverage here. I know, it’s a burden and everyone should pity me. Yeah… right. But the next week and a half will be full on catch-up time for me.
Games on the docket include finally finishing Uncharted 2‘s single player campaign (I’m on chapter 24), finishing the Red Dead Redemption single player (I still haven’t gotten to Mexico) and rolling through Mass Effect 2 (I’m roughly 15-16 hours into the game). Yes, two of these won our previous two Game of the Year awards. Yes, I probably should have finished Uncharted 2 a year ago. Oh well, things happen.
Are you in the same boat with me? Will you be playing new games next week, spending all your time online with Halo: Reach or Black Ops, or maybe catching up on old titles? We want to hear from you. Drop us a line in the comments!

Things are getting crazy for me prepping for Christmas. I have family up and down the East Coast and my wife and I are traveling to see a large majority of them. We’ve been scrambling to get things done this weekend to prep for heading out of town half way through the week. Sadly, that has meant almost no gaming time for me. Thankfully we get back next Tuesday and I have the whole week off to rock out some new and older games that I’ve had my eye on. Should be a good time, but I’m going nuts right now. If you’re in the same boat, I tip my hat to you. And now to go finish up our Game of the Year pick for 11am…

By Justin McCullough on December 17, 2010 | Yes, there is such a thing as Wii Motion Plus plus +, and this dude is doing it. That’s right. A Nintendo Wiimote with Motion Plus already built in. And he’s plugging in yet ANOTHER Motion Plus adapter. Don’t hate! He has something better than you. His Wii actually knows what he’s going to do before he even does it, and it’s fucking retarded.

By Matt Banks on December 15, 2010 | It’s been one hell of a year. The games of 2010 will go down in memory as some of the best of the 21st century. Massive titles dropped on our systems over the past twelve months that have kept up coming back for me. While plenty of games were great, only one can win the coveted title of Loot Ninja’s 2010 Game of the Year.
We’re doing things a bit differently this year. Instead of breaking it out into multiple awards, we’re only giving a single Game of the Year award to the game we all feel is the best of the bunch. So, without further ado, here are the nominees for Loot Ninja’s 2010 Game of the Year! The winner will be announced early next week, so stay tuned!

Blizzard sent us a pretty nice Christmas card that we wanted to share with all of you. It was delivered by elves and magic pixy dust to our email inboxes overnight. Running with the current Cataclysm theme, this just makes me want to jump back into World of Warcraft. And what do you… I’m going to be doing that! I got myself a copy of Cataclysm and all previous expansions thanks to the fine folks at Blizzard. Steve and I will be storming the plains of Azeroth, so look for us if you want to gift us the sword of a thousand truths.
Anyway, Happy Holidays to you too, Blizzard! (Click the picture of the card for a bigger version)

We saw a tiny bit of snow in the Northeast, but nowhere near what the middle of the country saw this weekend. The roof of the Metrodome in Minnesota collapsed from all the snow, delaying the Giants vs. Vikings game. Oh well, they’ll play tonight in Detroit. The Spike VGA’s went down this weekend too and I thought it went pretty well. The show was produced nicely and the exclusive reveals were very good. I can’t say I agree with the hatred I saw on Twitter. Whether you liked it or not, you can’t deny that Mass Effect 3, Batman: Arkham City and Uncharted 3 look phenomenal. Holiday 2011 is going to be a crazy release time for big games.
