The folks from Guitar Hero have decided to make an official community site where hardcore GH fans can all get together and get the inside scoop on the upcoming Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock. Fans can join teams on the site and compare their best scores, tracks, etc.

(Nasdaq: ATVI), in partnership with Agora Games, a leading provider of online community development and in-game data collection, announced today that a new dedicated Guitar Hero community teaser website has launched, and fans can now visit www.GuitarHero.com to get a Backstage Pass to obtain insider information, news announcements, exclusive behind the scenes footage of Slash and other in-game talent, gameplay videos, and screenshots. Aspiring axe-shredders will also have the ability to pre-order and hear snippets from the set list of the highly anticipated title, Guitar Hero® III: Legends of Rock.

Midway and Epic today announced the minimum and recommended system requirements for the PC version of Unreal Tournament 3 along with a pair of choice screenshots. UT3 looks like it will need a hefty computer to run this bad boy, the recommended RAM is 1 Gb, whoa! After looking at the screenshots it makes sense why you will need to run a rig of epic proportions.

EA sent over the first batch of screenshots from the new DS title, Orcs & Elves. The RPG looks very good and will ship November 13th with over ten hours of gameplay. From the fact sheet:

Orcs & Elves offers a breathtaking dungeon-crawling experience for any fantasy RPG gamer, featuring an Award-winning storyline spanning twelve sprawling levels within an ancient Dwarven kingdom.

As a young half-elf, a player will explore the ancient mountain-citadel of Zharrharag, a massive Dwarven fortress riddled with ancient treasure, powerful weapons, and waves of ruthless enemies.

The game will utilize the DS touch screen for puzzle solving and inventory management. I’m looking forward to checking this game out when it ships.

We got word today from 2K Sports about their new Media Player which showcases some pretty screenshots and a gameplay trailer for NBA 2K8. The game is set to drop October 2nd in the US for most major consoles.

The game looks more polished than last year’s title with more details in the uniforms and smoother animations. Word on the street is the game runs at a blazing 60fps on all platforms. I think the coolest feature of the game is in the inclusion of the Slam Dunk Contest as a playable mode.
