Many of you have Red Dead Redemption. I have it. It is awesome. I am about halfway through the campaign and plan to really deep dive into the multiplayer very soon. After the jump is a complete list of what is unlocked at each rank. There are 50 ranks but not every rank carries a new horse or a new weapon. You will acquire different skins along the way but they are primarily for appearance and have no functionality. Here are the treasure locations if you want to check that out in the single player as well.

I love the sawed off shotgun when getting chased by outlaws. You can pop off two rounds and usually take out 2-3 guys with a well placed shot. This game completes me!
this game is awesome I have been playing on multi player for a while now and i am lvl 30 i was wondering if you know any way to get loads of xp in one hit?
Do the Twin Rock's Gang hideout. There is a youtube on how to do it perfectlly. He gets it where he does it in under 2 minutes, and gets 1600 points. Ive got 1000 points in about 2 1/2 mins but I also dont have the guns he does.

yeah do the gang hideouts on multiplayer free roam the one by mcfarelanes ranch gets you about 1800xp each time get to level 50 legend 4 and you get the zebra donkey its sweet

yeah i think the become legendary after you reach level 50, i might be wrong but i think its the same as a prestige on call of duty, you unlock characters and weapons and mounts faster after you become legendary im not sure how many times you can gain a new legendary rank
You dont get zebra at 50, you get it at 5th legendary lvl 50. And legendary is where you get to 50 and you restart to unlock legendary characters and mounts, such as buffalo's and the zebra donkey

Thats probably because you took a long time and died like 3 times. Both take away from the bonus, which is how you get so many minutes. Its about getting the kill streak thing, or multipier, or whatever you want to call it.

I killed all 30 enemies whilst on a kill streak (green thing in top right of screen was on 30). completed in 1 minute 32 seconds. I got 2650 xp

How do you get the other bulls and the zebra because there not on the list, do you get them when you prestige and start leveling up again?
when you reach lvl 50 you can start legendary ranks. When you become lvl 50 on each legendary lvl you unlock the other mounts.
to get the zebra u must reach level 50 , 4 or 5 time not sure which, but once u reach level 50 u get called legendary

the best way to level up is probbably double xp weekends me and friends can complete twin rocks in about 40 - 50 seconds getting 1200 xp for it but on an everyday basis go to pikes basin and keep replaying that when I went legendary i got up to level 20 in no time at all it was so easy

Legendary Status can be achieved once you hit level 50, and works the same as the Call of Duty prestige system. Theres 6 legendary ranks (I think) and for each one, you have to unlock everything again. The bonus is that for each rank, theres a new mount such as the bisons and the zebra donkey, aswell as new characters. Im not really bothered about that though, I just want Bonzo!

To get zebra, super bull and the legendary characters, you'll need to reach level 50, then reset back to level 1. Like modern warfare 2's prestige mode. It'll be a long way to go.

RANKING SYSTEM: when your level 50 you have the choice if you want to "pertsige" when you go into the multiplayer menu from the start butten. i know you can rank up 5 times. you get your mounts about 10 levels earlier. so if you level 50 with bonze you perstege and get level 40 and oyu get it.
GETTING FAST XP TIPS: be efficent. i do twin rocks in 1 min and 30 secs and i get 2.1k xp. if you get over 10 head shots and over 95% accuacy under 2mins you easly get 2k xp. its better then doing basin, wasted tiem running around. and do TWIN ROCKS by yourself in a public game.. it gives more bonus xp to anything in a PUBLIC GAME.
you can get from 450xp to 3100xp. BE EFFICIENT. NO SPRAY AND PRAY
You do get to keep your golden guns after "Prestige" and it is worth prestiging as you can unlock more mounts and characters etc…

I rached Legend 5 on PS3 the first week the game was out… It took me 2 days 2 hours of gameplay… I ONLY played in Sallomon's folly gang hideout, u get 2800 XP in under 2 min if ur good that it lol, yea this is the easiest online game in ranks that is… lol right when i got legend 5 i stopped playing RDR, i dnt see the point of playing a game after reaching lastonline rank but the Zebra donkey is the fastest mount and it NEVER gets tires so u get a huge advabtage over every1 lotta people get jelous when they see you riding the Zebra lol

Before the update, if you completed the hideout in under a minute's length, you would be awarded with an extra bonus of 1600-2000 XP. The update has cancelled that bonus. Now, unfortunately, you can only get a maximum of 700 XP per run. Sorry, everyone.

During the vast crusade of legendary mode on red dead redemption, I have leveled up to the point where, I believe it is quite justifiable to assume that you unlock the legendary mounts (ex. the buffalo, super bull, and the zebra) at level 50, correct?

I've experienced that the Co-op missions work best if you want to level fast. Top 3 tips when doing so and want to speed up to progress a little more:
- Don't get shot so you need to be revived (this will cost a shitload of XP)
- Kill as many enemy's as possible in one mission.
-Try to get assist kills by shooting one enemy together.
This way you'll finish a lot of goals from your missionlist.
Thanks for the tip SalsaTibor. How do you start up a game of Co-Op? I've been playing through the single player and just play a little multiplayer every now and then. Just go through and do a few gang hideouts.

I am at level 37 and dont have prestige. I like playing it for fun and not to rank up to whatever level. Its funner that way for me. I like to turn off all helps and even the GPS. I wont fight anyone with them off cause yes, I'll just die. The more realistic it is, the better is is for me. YEEE HAAWWW!! I wish I lived in AZ again!

In answer to your question some weapons aren't available at the different free for all locations to see which weapons are available go to the dummy with the weapon crate and what ever is on the box or dummy you can get in that free for all

I’ve been doing the Twin rocks gang hideout and I dont usually die or take to long, I usually do from 1:20 to 1:50 seconds but I only get like 500 to 600 exp Max. How do get as much exp as you guys?
Am I doing something wrong? Pike's Basin. 15+ minutes, died 3 times. 1900XP points. Not that I'm complaining.
Personally my only gripe with 'free roam' is someone shooting at you randomly, or worse following you on horseback with you going off track to give them the option to carry on past you, then they decide to start shooting.
Isn't 'free roam' meant to be just that. If you want to fight, go to the proper place.

if you want to level on up you can hit start and go to multiplayer and hit triangle or for xbox you can hit y and prestige
once you prestige you lose all mounts and guns but you level up fast and unlock mounts faster at level 40 you will get the bonzo bull level 50 prestige you get the buffalo once you reached max prestage you have the zebra you have level 1 2 3 4 5 <5 is the max prestage but each time you get a new mount

Wow, playing the same gang hideout over and over again is a waste of time and energy… You are missing out on all of the other mp games, like shootouts and bag games, plus co-op missions… Unless you don't want to have fun, I suggest doing more than one gang hideout over and over again…
That really depends on one's definition of fun. If I'm in the right mood, I'll throw on some music, grab a cup of coffee and do Twin Rocks over and over when I'm not in the mood for mp. I like to make a game out of it; see how quickly I can do it and/or beat my high score.
I just wish Solomon's Folly was available for 360. I've heard that's a pretty good xp-builder.
My Friend did Pikes Basin 20 times every time he went on multiplayer non-stop, and he is now on, Rank 22 2nd Legendary, in like 20 days. I did it with him sometimes and racked up tons of XP with him. He never went on any matches and now he hates the game and gets sick of it. Last night I Passed into Legend and now on Rank 11 2nd Legendary.

Theres one really gay thing about red dead is when u jump off a very very small hill u die its so fricking noob. ( horse's are gay to u call them and they run off or into a waterfall,campfire,cougar,bear,dozens off enemies,a cliff, etc etc uno what i mean they should make it better by making a patch or something.

but the bonzo(bull) is a little bit slower that the american standard bred. another disadvantage is, that the bonzo can't jump :-/

I can tell you how to get your golden guns but cant show you how to get your golden guns
You just need to go onto gang matches and get 100 headshots wiv that gun you can just go behind a good cover and shot people as they come past in the head for example in armidillo hold your own you can go by the gattling gun and take cover by the sand bags and that will give you the best chance to get headshots in that map you need to get used to aiming for the head also what I do is have casual aim on and press the left trigger and push the right analoge up and shoot at the same time that is a good way to get headshots
