PlayStation Home

Today at the Game Developers Conference (GDC), Sony unveiled the newest weapon in their arsenal: PlayStation Home. This new software for the PS3 will act almost like Second Life + Mii’s + Achievements + Games. It’s a crazy combination of things and it looks like it’s going to be fantastic. You create a realistic character of yourself where you can roam around with thousands of other users to chat, get into gaming, share things, etc. You can make your own place and furnish it with things you get from the PlayStation Store. No word on pricing yet for these add-ons. There’s also arcade machines you can play, bowling alleys, pool tables, movie theaters, and all kinds of crazy stuff. You control your way around the virtual world with a virtual PSP. How about them apples.
