We’ve all gone on the magical journey to the Northwest, trying desperately to make our way to Oregon. If you haven’t, you suck. It’s one of the pinnacle moments of my childhood school days. Yeah that’s right. I actually played this shit in school. I had to deal with a lack of food, hunting buffalo and deer, crossing rivers, and struggling to keep my party members alive. Oh, and Indians. I can’t forget about the Indians. Just released is the movie about that game: The Oregon Trail. Check out the awesome trailer below.
Be sure to put your douchey, emo, black dyed hair-do stare down at the ground plaid wearing caps on kiddies, because it’s time to see just how Linkin Park and the new Medal of Honor game fit together. As you can tell, I’m not much of a fan of the band, just like I’m not much of a Creed or Nickelback fan either.
You can go ahead and watch the trailer here (because it’s actually pretty cool and we won’t mark you a faggot), but just know we are watching you, and you can just put the music on mute. That’s what I did. In the eeeennnndddd…… (gunshot to the head)
Earlier today Guerilla Games released the first teaser video for Killzone 3. Don’t get your hopes up though gamers, it’s nothing more than pre-rendered garbage. I’ll hold my verdict on the game until I get to see actual in-game footage (maybe soon at E3), but the trailer does show off a new aspect to the Killzone universe: hand-to-hand combat. As in punching and stabbing someone in the FACE! Check out the trailer below.
I desperately tried to set this video for Dead Space 2 as late as I could so you guys could watch the new trailer when it’s getting dark and then try to go to bed. EA and Visceral Games have been hard at work on Dead Space 2 and just released a new trailer today for the upcoming survival horror game.
Dead Space 2 looks to take Isaac Clarke on a darker, yet bigger adventure this time around and offer yet another thrill ride featuring Necromorph dismemberment and the weird religion of Unitology. Check out the new video below where you can actually see Isaac’s face, but then try to go to sleep. That’s right, you can’t.
Looks like EA is throwing a lot of innovation and changes to the tried and true Madden gameplay with their year’s iteration. Madden NFL 11 looks to have some major animation and play calling changes. With this trailer being such a cock tease, I’m waiting to hear more from the folks at EA for just what we can expect this year.
We’ve talked about Brink before – Bethesda’s pseudo-Borderlands style game. This is the official cinematic trailer (ie. no gameplay) of the game. I’m personally looking forward to it – the combination of seamless online and offline gameplay combined with the unique art style has me hoping Brink delivers where Borderlands failed to.
This past weekend at the last day of the Eurogamer Expo Ubisoft decided to give gamers a little love. We got a quick demo of Splinter Cell: Conviction at maximum volume. It was the first look since the walkthrough at E3 and it drew a big crowd.
While it was the same scene from E3 on show the Ubisoft team decided to do things slightly differently than was displayed at the E3 preview. Instead of sneaking Sam around all those civilians he pulled out a gun and sent all the innocents scrambling for cover. The screams and cries peaked the curiosity of the guards at the gate who went to investigate, allowing Fisher to scale the wall. A half cry in alarm and a few headshots later Fisher is breaking through a window and taking on a few more baddies. This walkthrough presented a little more of a directly combative Sam Fisher than the stealthy Sam we saw in the E3 demo, allowing the game to show it offers a little more freedom in gameplay styles this go around.
Soul Trapper: Episode 1 has been available at the App Store for quite some time. If you haven’t heard of it, it’s a interactive audio adventure clocking in at over three hours of total gameplay. It’s reminiscent of Indigo Prophecy and if that doesn’t pique your interest then this game might not be for you. The story unravels around a man named Kane Pryce who possesses a mysterious device known only as the Soul Trap. Your job is to uncover the mysteries scattered throughout the story by listening carefully for clues. There are interactive elements involved but the main focus of the game is the story.
We finally have an official trailer and hope to have a review of the first episode in the eventual future.
If you can even vaguely remember our review of Touchgrind, you could understand how we could be so excited for Illusion Labs next title. Sway is being developed together with ReadyFireAim to bring gamers a whole new touch based game for the iPhone/iPod touch. The official press release is after the jump but I recommend checking out the gameplay trailer instead. Watching is always more fun than reading. No release date has been announced at this time.
HydroTilt isn’t just another Marble Madness style game. Yes, you do roll a ball of water around on platforms but there are also various puzzles to solve by manipulating the ball into different forms. The iPhone’s accelerometer usually works well with games of this nature so check out the official trailer and see for yourself if it is worthy of a purchase. HydroTilt is now available at the iTunes App Store for $4.99.
