Hey what is up guys? Welcome back to the final show before the ultimate after-Christmas show. We continue to pump it out this week, and feature a bunch of stuff on todays show. Check it out!
Hoping to get into the Killzone 3 multiplayer beta that starts October 25th? I hope you have some extra cash laying around, because you’ll need to be a PlayStation Plus subscriber to get access to the Beta. Sony is hoping these sexy new betas will make people want to pony up money for their premium PSN service, which has been fairly worthless to a large majority of PS3 gamers through this point.
While I would love to fire up some Killzone 3 multiplayer early, there’s no way I’m dropping money on PlayStation Plus. How about all of you? While you make a decision, take a look at the latest gameplay video from Killzone 3.
Killzone 2 was one of the most anticipated shooters on the PS3 last year. After the hoopla surrounding the initial CGI trailer, the game had some big shoes to fill. While it was a solid shooter, many took issue with the controls and even though the multiplayer had some nice innovations, it just didn’t have the saying power online to compete with the behemoths in the industry. With Killzone 3, Sony and Guerrilla Games are looking to perfect what was already a solid base. At E3, we went hands on with a few single player levels and came away mostly impressed.
I was minding my own business strolling through the Sony booth, when BAM! Out of nowhere comes this Helghast soldier trying to take me out with extreme prejudice. I guess I offended his momma or something. I’ll have to watch out next time…
Earlier today Guerilla Games released the first teaser video for Killzone 3. Don’t get your hopes up though gamers, it’s nothing more than pre-rendered garbage. I’ll hold my verdict on the game until I get to see actual in-game footage (maybe soon at E3), but the trailer does show off a new aspect to the Killzone universe: hand-to-hand combat. As in punching and stabbing someone in the FACE! Check out the trailer below.
