Searching on the US Playstation Blog Flickr account I came across a few screens that perked my interest. I normally just use these items for articles or write-ups I’m doing for games featured here on Loot Ninja.
These look to be some new shots of the upcoming Playstation exclusive Resistance 3 from Insomniac Games. I liked them, so I figured you would too. A few look to be concept art, but a few look a little too detailed for that. They look like in-game screens (of a pre-Alpha build) of the game that’s a work in progress. Things already look that great. No telling how awesome these will be come Fall of 2011.

Did that mean anything to you? If it did, you probably canceled whatever you had planned because the expansion pack to change the world comes out today. WoW Cataclysm is now available. I have never played WoW let alone have an account but since Blizzard are extremely cool people, they are sending us a few expansion packs and 60 day press cards to give it a shot. I’ll be the Level 1 guy with zero loot asking how to map items to my hot bar.
Another friendly PS3 firmware update is coming our way today and the functionality is completely back end type stuff. The patch is described as minor and will work on security issues that apparently need patching. Just a friendly reminder that if you want to do anything PSN related, queue this up when you can, it might take awhile.
It is getting cold outside and we got some flurries this morning in NYC. Nothing major, but it means that snow is coming and so is snow tubing. Do not do a local news story on snow tubers. Ask this guy why not.
Indie games aren’t exclusive to summertime. Indie developers don’t hibernate for the winter, nor are they playing the onslaught of new AAA titles due for the holidays. They are busy releasing their own wonderful little creations to entertain us with while there are tube strikes and snow storms and the like. So stay in, make some hot chocolate, and play some of these cheap and cheerful purchases. The first week of December will bring a dozen or so Indie releases from 80 to 400 Magical Sauce Points. Well clearly Sony hasn’t read my Top 8 Things the PSP2 Needs to Survive. (Really it should have been 9, forgot to add solid battery life for heavy usage). If the below video is true, and it looks it, SonyEricsson has missed out on some of the key hardware points. I’m not sold on the lack of nubs for analogue sticks as I feel touchpads won’t cut it for most hardcore gaming.
I wish we could know if this would play full PSP games or if we are just looking at a Sony owned Android App Store (bummer). Enjoy the short but sweet look at the potential future.
We’re into our first full week of December and the temperatures are dropping rapidly here in the Northeast. Snow looks to be rolling in, so between Holiday shopping and wrapping up year-end work, it should be a solid time for gaming. I need more coffee. It’s too early. Brain isn’t working yet.
This is one for the record books. Not only does this guy try to bail on a trick at the last second, well, just watch. +560 man pts for his friend for the comment of the year. “Yo, are you okay?’ Let’s go to Burger King.” I guess getting a few Whoppers outranks the Emergency Room.
If there was any doubt that Bungie would not support Halo: Reach like its previous titles because of their letting go of the Halo series, those fears were put out the instant you downloaded the Noble Map Pack. This is their best map pack in years. Three great maps, all different, all designed expertly, and offer a great addition for only 10 bucks.
The debut trailer for the first of five games in Telltale’s Back to the Future series aired last night and GameTrailers TV. Yes, I am excited. Very excited. I grew up loving the trilogy of movies (even part 3), so getting a chance to play as Marty McFly and Doc Brown has me smiling this morning. Part 1 will be released this month, with the rest following suit throughout 2011. Now if only I can find a real life DeLorean to drive around…
