Don’t Forget QuakeCon 2010 Questions!

Above is a video showcasing just a snippet of all of the volunteer effort and time that has been put into the upcoming QuakeCon 2010 event in my hometown Dallas, Texas. The crews work forklifts, run thousands of CAT5 lines, crimp them, terminate them, and then test them all for the sake of gaming. Needless to say, it’s taken quite a bit of manpower. Check out the video to see just a small view of how much each one of those BYOC stations need to get online.

Loot Ninja will be on the scene all day Friday and Saturday of this week attending QuakeCon 2010, getting hands-on with Fallout: New Vegas, Brink, and Hunted: Demon’s Forge behind the scenes. We’ll also be sitting in on the “Making Blockbusters” panel with Jason West and Vince Zampella from Respawn Entertainment (former heads of Infinity Ward). We’re getting the chance to ask pertinent questions and get interviews with developers and engineers about these awesome games. Trouble is, we want to throw in a few questions from our very loyal readership. We want to know what things are important to you guys? Submit your questions about any one of those games I mentioned above in the comments section. If you feel so inclined also include some questions about Doom 4 (there might be an announcement on Thursday).

There is no such thing as a retarded question, just don’t get pissed off if we give you a retarded answer in return. HA! Ask away Loot Ninja gamers.

Questions For QuakeCon 2010? Ask ‘Em!

This is what the Hilton Anatole conference center in Dallas, TX looks like at the moment. Right now it doesn’t look like much, but very soon (starting Thursday) thousands of gamers will flock to fill those seats for the BYOC (Bring Your Own Computer) gaming competition for QuakeCon 2010. Loot Ninja will be on the scene both Friday and Saturday to take on the event this year, giving you all of the coverage on id Software and Bethesda’s upcoming games. Games like Fallout: New Vegas, Brink, Rage, and Hunted: Demon’s Forge. If you can’t find a game in there you are excited about, you aren’t a gamer. Oh, and I also hate you.

Anyway, we’re getting hands-on with ALL of those games (besides Rage) behind closed doors on media-only builds and we want to know what questions our Loot Ninja readers would like to know about any of these upcoming titles. Keep in mind that there is also the possibility of seeing Doom 4 announced so throw in some Doom questions as well.

Be sure to leave your questions in the comments section. I will take note of as many as I can fit in and relay them to the people you want to talk to but are stuck behind a computer all day reading our site. We’ll bring you those answers and I’ll even play snippets of the interview on Twisted Gamer Radio. Stay tuned as we continue to cover QuakeCon 2010!

QuakeCon 2010 Details Announced

One of the only games I didn’t get to check out at E3 2010 was Rage. Matt got to sit in on the visual demo while I got to get hands-on with Fallout: New Vegas, Brink, and Hunted: The Demon’s Forge. Yeah, I got the better end of the deal. But I still feel bad for missing out on the new wasteland epic from Id Software. Word is, it might be playable at QuakeCon 2010.
