Peter Hines of Bethesda dropped some knowledge this week. Fallout New Vegas is getting the DLC love. Episodic content like that which thrilled me oh so much in Fallout 3 is coming to New Vegas. It’s not clear on who is developing this content, Obsidian Entertainment or BethSoft. One thing is clear, this DLC is coming this Holiday season and it’s coming on Xbox Live. No word on PS3 yet. So if you haven’t pre-ordered yet and you want the DLC, get it on the 360. I was hoping to get this on PS3 so I could avoid the noisy Xbox, but looks like Microsoft wins again.
It’s old news that there is no playing beyond the end-game in New Vegas, but are they already trying to fix that with DLC?

I’m hearing New Vegas is VERY buggy. Makes me a little leery to pick this up. That, and the fact that I never really played Fallout 3… yeah, I know. Sue me.

Haha. Fallout 3 was buggy, but word is this is much worse. Lots of crashing, quest bugs, etc. I haven’t played it yet myself, so I can’t say for sure, but based on reviews that went out today, it looks like there’s quite a few issues.
Ya the reviews I’ve been ready have been complaining about how many bugs there are. I hope by the time I pick it up they patch it up
God I hope its not more buggy than Fallout 3!!! That would make my past two preorders complete garbage(MoH=CRAP). I have the game I’m just waiting until I’m done with work to tear into it. Fallout 3 was great but some advice, create a new save everytime b/c you never know when a game glitch is going to screw you royally.
Word Mike. I had literally hundreds of saves of Fallout 3 for that very reason. And I kept saving tons even after I installed it on the hard drive…… just couldn’t trust it not to fuck up somehow.
I started Fallout NV last night, didn’t get to far, but it looks great so far. I went with a far different character this time. putting most of my points to speech/lockpick first. And instead of the good guy, I’m going to do whatever I want. I already robbed the shit out of Good Springs.
