I was first apprehensive when I heard that the Prince of Persia series was getting the silver screen treatment. Video games to movies, yeah we have been here before. The first trailer piqued my interest, the latest made me want watch this. Walt Disney is a the parents of the cartoon mouse, but they also have huge pockets and can give the high budget treatment a story like this really needs. If you would have told me 5 years ago that the two gay cowboys were going to be an Oscar winning Joker and the Prince of Persia, I would have kicked you in the balls.

Eh, I still don’t know. It will probably be one of the best video game movies, but in terms of actual movies, I’m skeptical
i love the article, however i share the same skeptism as banks. Movies these days lack fresh ideas thus driving it to resources like video games and old time superheroes and cartoons. In order to have a successful idea you need something fresh and new to really captivate the audience that P.O.P is targeting. The average movie goer will like the good actions scenes and bright colors but will not get that feeling that a movie with good content really gives you. This is just going to be Pirates of the Carabean in the desert with different s-words. I say im waiting not even for dvd release but for the ‘red box’ release. Give me something fresh and new and ill invest the 38 dollars on the tickets and 12 pound nestle crunch that comes with the overall expierence of going to see a good movie.
