Amazon has been dropping some amazing video game deals since Black Friday, and today is no exception. Crackdown 2 can be had a measly $14.99 today, while other great titles such as Super Street Fighter IV are on sale for $19.99.

If you’re looking for a bargain game instead of saving up for the amazing titles coming next week (Alan Wake and Red Dead Redemption), look no further than Amazon’s Deal of the Day. The online retailer extraordinaire is peddling Marvel Ultimate Alliance 2 for Xbox 360 for only $19.99.

Since I’ve already played the game, I’m saving my money for Red Dead Redemption. As for Alan Wake, that’s in my Xbox 360 right now and you’ll hear my review early next week. Based on Episode 1, it should be glowing.
If you can’t seem to swing a $50 a year for Xbox Live, Newegg may have you covered. For who knows how long, you can get a year of Xbox Live for $35 with free shipping. When you do the math, it comes out to about $3 a month. Even if your Xbox Live hasn’t run out yet, I would recommend picking one of these up before the sale is over.
Amazon’s Gold Box deals today are all Xbox 360 games. If you haven’t picked up BioShock 2 yet, today is your chance with it on sale for $39.98. That’s a steal for a very solid game (you can check out our review here).
Some other deals are coming soon today, with Mass Effect 2 being available a little while ago and Dragon Age: Origins on sale right now. These deals are always pretty good and don’t last long, so get crackin’.
With Gamestop’s new 50% trade-in deal, you can net yourself $52.50 for Mass Effect 2. Having finished the game, I plan on going to Gamestop tomorrow. Considering we all pay around $64 dollars a game, getting $52.50 for a trade-in is unreal. I suspect this deal will not be around much longer so I would get to your local Gamestop ASAP.
P.S: If you have a Edge card you’ll get an extra 10% which will net you $56.
If you take Chris’s word for it (and a lot of other people), Splosion Man is one of the best Xbox Live Arcade games of 2009. It was a great game at $10, but next week it’ll be 50% off and you’ll be able to grab the game for 400 Banana Bucks. That’s $5 in human money.
The sale runs all next week starting February 1st, so make sure to peel yourself away from Mass Effect 2 and pick this bad boy up if you don’t own it already. While you’re at, make sure you do not buy Halo Wars from Games on Demand for $29.99. It’s much cheaper used at GameStop and you can resell it later if you want.

There was no way I was shopping today. As you read this, I’m probably still in bed recovering from a turkey overdose. So delicious. I’ll wait until Cyber Monday to snag some online deals from the comfort of my own home in pajama pants. I save the big boy pants for special occasions.
Coincidentally, as the weather gets colder in the Northeast, AAA games begin to surface. While this is a great excuse to stay inside, it can’t happen without the money to buy the games. While looking through my game collection, I noticed that I hadn’t played most of the games in at least 4 months or more. If I did play one of the games, it was merely to kill some time over summer vacation. After looking at both Best Buy and GameStop’s trade in values respectively, I learned that I could easily get over $160 for all of my games. By now most of you how we here at Loot Ninja feel about GameStop. To end up trading my games in with them was a huge surprise to me. Find out why below.
Budget minded gamers like me are constantly looking for video game deals left and right. I have been subscribed to a few RSS feeds for quite some time now and I shop for everything from dorky/offensive t-shirts to geek gear and dragon dildoes. Through the Slick Deals RSS feed, I came across a great offer from Best Buy.com. Right now if you head on over to Best Buy online you will be able to get any 360 game of your choice for the online price (it can be any price mind you), and you’ll get the second one of equal or lesser value for 50% off.
Not only is that a great deal, it also works on pre-orders too. I myself just bought Batman: Arkham Asylum (which I was going to get anyway) and I pre-ordered Modern Warfare 2 for $30 dollars. Tax is added on after you enter your zip code, but shipping is free, so that puts the icing on the cake for me.
I only mention this because I feel like this is a great deal for my fellow Loot Ninja gamers, and want to spread the wealth, because I love you. I really really do. If you are looking to buy a few games around this slow time anyway, now might be the time to do so for a great price. You can tinker around with the shipping or pick-up option in store and it could save you a few extra dollars, but then you will have to deal with people. I don’t like to deal with people, so I chose the “ship to my front door” option. I can do that in my red hearted thong underwear if I want to. Best Buy apparently frowns on that attire in the store.

Want to get a cheaper year of Xbox Live? Here’s your chance. Walmart is peddling a 13 month card for $29.99 right now. This is an online deal only and not in store.
Shipping is $0.97, but you can have it shipped to your local Walmart for free (it may take 2 weeks, though). Either way, it’s cheaper than the $50 most places charge.
Even if you’re not close to paying for Live again, it might not be a bad idea to snag one of these and save some money in the long run.
