I’m directing this write-up at Steve, Justin, and all of you out there still rocking the 20GB hard drive on your Xbox 360. The time for your upgrade is approaching. You can’t do much with that measly 20GB anymore and the 250GB hard drive that shipped with the Modern Warfare 2 Limited Edition console is going to be sold separately in Japan starting March 11th.
No word yet on when this will come to North America or how much it’ll cost (it’s ¥15,540 or about $172 in Japan), but you people with tiny hard drives (or none at all) need to save that cash. There are plenty of awesome downloadable games and DLC to justify the cost. Then you have hard drive installs to speed up load times. It’s well worth the purchase.
I have a 120GB hard drive with my Elite, so I don’t see myself upgrading anytime soon. How about you?

I definitely see myself purchasing this when it comes available in the US. See, I said WHEN! 115 bucks for 120GB hard drive is just flat out crazy! That’s almost $1 a gig. Go look at the price of a 2TB HD out there. It’s simply amazing that Microsoft can sell this crap and they can charge whatever they want. $170 for 250GB is a LITTLE better…….so I might plop down for it.
I have a 60Gb drive, on my Pro. I’ll probably never upgrade the hard drive…I’ve installed a few games, downloaded LOTS of stuff, and I still have oodles of room for more.
I have the 120 and only about 40G left…and with more games taking up sapce…I was hoping this would be released to US within the next year or so

When I can get my hands on the 250 gb hd at a decent price, I will upgrade and give my 120 gb hd to my younger brother whos is still rocking a launch console with the 20 gb hd.
But I agree with Justin. For $175 I could have two tb external hard drives. MS is really fucking greedy but what ya goin’ do? Just like gamestop, they made it so they are the only game in town in their respective markets.
I have the Elite with 120 gb, should last a good long time. Long enough for the price to drop
After some cleanup I have about 50gig free on my 120gig. Once the 250gig is released and more DLC and good games become downloads, I may consider upgrading. The games are only going to get bigger especially if you choose to install some of the games to cut down load times (GOW2) and the bigger DLC content like GTAIV
$170 for 250GB = £170 UK price, may as well go out and but the whole console for £250
