This evening I received an email from the guys over at Jolt Online extending the offer to join the Legends of Zork beta group. If you don’t recall, we announced the Legends of Zork online title development a little while ago. While originally announced as a casual MMO, the team at Jolt has clarified things a little bit, since they haven’t provided us with much since the original announcement!
Now, a word about LoZ (as we affectionately call it). I’ve been reading a lot of speculation about what kind of a game this will be and I really want to set expectations correctly. LoZ is a casual adventure game. We’ve designed it to be the kind of game that sneaks into your soul and steals about 20mins of your time
each day. It’s not an MMO (collective sigh of relief, I’d imagine). We genuinely think it’s a worthy addition to the Zork universe but at the same time we know that some of you won’t agree. You’ll have the opportunity to try it out very soon though.
Interesting news, but what does this mean? I’m not sure yet, but when I get into the beta, I will let you know my fellow Loot-Ninjas. I do like the idea of a game you can play for 20 min a day and not feel lost, and I can use that in my busy lifestyle and as a gamer/writer for Loot-Ninja. I definitely have my opinions and am eager to share with the team at Jolt Online. If you are interested in signing up, check out legendsofzork.com.
