Just when you thought technology was great, it just slaps you in the face and decides to get better. Just a couple of years ago Blu-ray was released. And we all know that when a new technology is introduced, we usually have to intake the atrocious monstrous sizes that go along with it toot. Remember when the first DVD players were introduced? The things looked like receivers. Just thinking about it was disgusting… and we thought that it was the shit when it was released.
I, for one, wasn’t expecting Blu-ray manufacturers and engineers to decrease their player sizes so dramatically. Samsung’s latest BD-Live Blu-ray decks takes the word “minimalism” to another level. This wall-mountable 1.5-inch thin (BD-P4600) can stream Netflix Watch Instantly out of the box. The player is Profile 2.0 (via ethernet or USB slots which can accommodate and included Wi-fi dongle) and Dolby Digital Plus, Dolby TrueHD, DTS-HD HR/MA decoding and audio bitstream output. It will be available the first half of 2009.
I swear to Jesus, if my PS3 didn’t play games, I’d throw it from the Sears Tower in a box full shit. I don’t know about the rest of you, but this just gives me goosebumps. Can’t wait to see what TV’s will look like in 5 years.

TV’s will be OLED. Check them out. I have one at my work it’s 15 inches and costs $2,500. But it looks sick! Just 3mm thin and be held on the wall with a tac. All your wires plug into a receiver which is small and that wirelessly sends the signal to your 3mm thin TV.
$2,500 for 15 inches? I hope we’re talking about penis surgery here. I’ve seen OLED and, yes, it looks r e t a r d e d. The thing is that they technology is way too pricey. However, they also have something that is as thin as a sheet of paper. Seriously, that thin and it can stick to walls. There’s some crazy stuff out there. I’m waiting for the technology that will send mail via vacuum tubes (The Fifth Element style). Two words: Priority Shipping.
Damn that looks sexy. You know when new technology first come out it’s pricey, obviously. So I won’t have an OLED anytime soon nor this sexy Blu-Ray player.
I’ll give you 9 inches for free.
No Homo.
Smaller does not mean better, look at the Wii. I would throw a “ask your mom too” joke in there, but that’s way too easy.
Ive seen thinner, lol
That’s what she said…
