I was out of the World of Warcraft loop for a while and then one day Matt convinced me to pick up the Burning Crusade expansion and dust off my dormant level 60 character. Man was I in for it, I grinded close to 70 and was almost done with my WoW fix until the latest expansion just released, Wrath of the Lich King has officially pulled me back in.
This commercial about sums up my feelings, Silvio from the Sopranos quoting The Godfather “Just when I thought I was out, they pull me back in!” Damn it, I’m in! And without Matt might I add, he departed from WoW at about level 7 and left me now to change realms with my main and start my quest to level 80. Yes a paid character transfer will take place and send me to Korgath where I will join a raiding guild and get to work.
Hit the Jump for the Ozzy Osbourne spot and my initial impressions of Wrath of the Lich King.
So far Wrath made my grind to level 70 pretty simple, but getting past that is where the challenge lies. Each quest in the expansion yields about 20,000 experience, so after a few of these you can quickly jump some levels pre 70. Aside form picking up your already high level character and trying to take them through the new realm of Northrend and capping out at 80 you can also make a new character class known as the Death Knight. The Death Knight can be made as long as you have a character higher than level 55, then you get an instant level 55 Death Knight, who will carry out the orders of the Lich King himself.
So far the quests in the new expansion are not super challenging and follow suit with any other quests previously you have gone through. The Wrath of the Lich King is providing more content to just get players back into the swing of things. Excuse me while I get back to grinding levels.
Aside from Silvio’s commercial we are also graced with Ozzy and his thoughts. Ozzy is the prince of darkness if you ask me, but I do like his image as a mage in WoW rather than how he looks in Guitar Hero World Tour.
