Anyone expecting to land a PS3 this holiday season after a price cut is shit out of luck. Since the Xbox 360 price drop, namely the Arcade to $199.99, MS has seen sales skyrocket even passing the Wii in some areas. With the economy in the tank and retailers expecting a very bad sales report in Q4, Sony still refuses to drop the price of their console. When asked at a European game show about the slight possibility of a price cut, Sony responded with this:
“At the moment there’s a marketplace for PS3 and I think for this particular Christmas, with the kind of quality of games we’re seeing coming out this Christmas, I don’t think the price of the console is going to be an issue at all.”
I do agree Sony will have a great game lineup this holiday season headlined by Little Big Planet and Resistance 2, there are still plenty of people out there who simply cannot afford to spend 400 bucks on a console, then have to buy a game and a second controller if need be. Granted their are some bundles out there, but they only offer you deals after dropping a considerable amount of dough. Do you expect PS3 console sales to stay stagnant this winter while Xbox 360 cleans up? The Wii prints money, we all know that. No one feels bad for Nintendo.

I’m glad at not having a price cut. I feel like I got my money’s worth out of the console.
The PS3 is the most expensive console on the market, as it should be, its the best console that gives you the most features, you get the most bang for your buck, the Wii sucks, i can’t believe people fall for the motion control hype, that why it gets the least playing time, whats the point of selling hardware and no software? The Wii has nothing but little kid games and like 3 or 4 mature games, it won’t be on top much longer, its sales are starting to die in japan, where everything happens first, game wise, it won’t be long before it is reflected here. As for the 360, it should be the cheapest system being the biggest piece of crap of the two** 7th gen consoles (the wii is a game cube with motion controls) with its amazing fail rate, weak 2009 exclusives list (yes we all loved Halo, now stop milking the series its just getting crappier), using dvds pissing off developers who hae to make games so compressed thanks to the lack of hard drive needed or just make it on multiple disks(blu-rays of 400gbs have been developed), $15 charge kits (PS3 and wii come rechargable by default, $50 online a year (PS3 free, wii one time fee), $60 wireless headset (PS3, any bluetooth headset will suffice), $100 wi-fi(PS3 and WII built in), $150 for 120gb hard drive($100 will get you 500gb in a PS3). in the end the console is cheap but if it wants to be on par with a PS3 its a lot more expensive, the people who defend the 360 against the PS3 are either two dumb to do the overall math, can’t afford a PS3 (get a job), or just love to bend over and take Microsoft’s d!ck time after time.
