Gamasutra reported a new job listing which shows Netflix scouting for “Engineering Leader - Gaming Platforms”. Whether or not this concludes that Netflix will be expanding beyond the Xbox 360 is yet unknown; but, according to the job listing, the applicant is expected to have some sort of experience developing, and testing, media rich apps.
Of course, one could also linger at the idea that Netflix might be heading down the OnLive path of implementing a game streaming service. But if that isn’t the case and Netflix is “planning” on expanding their movie service to other consoles, then that would be huge news. We couldn’t expect any less with their huge success on the Xbox 360. Let’s see where this goes.

i use the hell out of my netflix watch now on my mac. streams fast and looks very good even on my 30″ cinema display. I am impressed at the speed and quality now, so it is only going to be more awesome in the near future. Having this on the PS3 would be sweet but I wouldn’t use it as much as I do on my comp. since I have to sit at my comp. all day “working” haha.
It’s taken Onlive 7 years to come up with the technology to make Onlive work. I don’t see how Netflix could just easily come up with their own version.
and it still, after 7 years, is not going to work.
eh, i think it could possibly be for improving the 360’s netflix function/ but ithink it would be a cool thing to have on ps3
