I remember the good ‘ol PC gaming days when StarCraft was the shit. If you were a PC gamer and didn’t play StarCraft you were uncool. Period. Didn’t matter if you had the most expensive rig, didn’t matter if your dad was Bill Gates; StarCraft was the game everyone was playing in the 90’s - it was one of the few RTS games to be taken to competitive arenas.
Now, back in those days those visuals were breathtaking to us. I mean, Jesus, it was the pinnacle of graphics at one point. Now, we look back and glance at the thing and it looks like the NES. Still plays like a fucking champion in the RTS genre, but looks like the offspring of doo-doo (to me at least). Years later, after constant begging and petition signings, StarCraft followers got what they longed for so long - a sequel. And with that sequel came an evolution in visuals.
Blizzard has shown off some of the updates its made to the graphical prowess of StarCraft II, which looks way more detailed. If you thought the game looked good before, get ready to have your eyes ejaculate. The amount of detail and gloss that’s been put on these character models are sick. Sick, I say!
In a post by a dev on the official StarCraft II forum, the gentlemen expresses that the StarCraft team has made massive updates to the Zerg faction, polishing shit like animations and further improving things like textures of both units and buildings.
A picture is a thousand words so check out the updates for yourself!
These images should have definitely issued a change of underwear followed by an icy chill down your spine. The level of difference is pretty much amazing from its previous build and only goes on to show why Blizzard maintains their respect in the gaming industry. Fuck a World of Warcraft, StarCraft II is where I’m going to be doing the dip at. According to the dev on the StarCraft II forum,
Throughout the development process, the team is constantly reiterating and improving on the game in every way. As mentioned before, the Infestor too is getting a makeover, becoming much creepier and intimidating - you definitely don’t want to end up helpless at the will of this thing!
StarCraft II still has a bit before its release, which means that there’s plenty of room for improvement (although, from what it seems, none is needed). The game went from looking like an upped Warcraft III engine to an Unreal III-lookin’ thing. There’s no doubt in my mind that this game is going to do some serious damage in the RTS genre. Don’t believe me? When was the last time Blizzard made a bad game? Exactly.

Wow! Those updated graphics look awesome!
AMAZING. Jeans creamed.
And I jizz in my pants.
