I’m pretty sure the lot of you have already watched the trailer that Keith put up for BioShock 2: Sea of Dreams. If you haven’t, I’ve blessed you with the HD version of the trailer (shown above). Or, if you prefer to watch it on your tube, you can always go on Xbox Live Marketplace, or PSN, and download the HD version from there. It all looks the same. Nothing really changes.
Now that you’ve watched that teaser, on to the rest of the article! No one has any idea whether or not we will see a simultaneous release on all three platforms (PC, PS3, 360). We can clearly recall that the first timed-exclusivity went to Xbox 360 when it was released. Afterward, the PC version came through followed by the PS3 release this past week. According to a 2K representative (via GameSpot),
BioShock 2 is destined for the PlayStation 3, Xbox 360 and Windows PC platforms.
You can all expect the time-bought exclusivity to be handed to the company with the largest checkbook (which is what the 2K rep intended to say). It’s what happened the first time and, more than likely, it’s what’s going to happen this time around. So, if you have all three platforms, then you’re pretty much in luck. If you don’t, um… well, tough-luck, bud. Consider yourself lucky that you just don’t own a Wii.
