Maybe Fox news should read the labels stateing Halo 3 is rated M and learn that adults can say what ever they want. And if they are worried about children hearing offensive racist and sexual language, just go the previous statement.
kthnx
So you’re essentially saying it’s okay to yell racist remarks over Xbox Live if the game is rated M and no one is under 18? I find your logic severely flawed.
I don’t think what is said on xbox live should be censored, other than individual players blocking players they deem inappropriate, because once you start censoring things where do you stop, look at Imus and Opie and Anthony.
So you’re telling me a 10 year old can figure out how to use the controller and software, but his parents can’t? RTFM dipshits.
Who cares anyway, Halo’s for shmucks.. all these testosterone fill asshats belong together.
It really doesnt matter. No one can stop it. Nothing will change. Once Xbox gave us the chance to voice our opinions (even if they are sexist, racist etc.) People chose to us that voice. It sucks that people can not just sit down and enjoy the game without trash talk. But going into xbox live/halo/any other game for that matter. You knew what you were in for. You can’t control what people say. Did you think it would change in the game. The voice is even louder when your identity is safe such as Xbox. In the Xbox world you are a avatiar. Nothing more or less. And if you make a complete ass of yourself or you support something it doesn’t matter because it is over xbox. In the xbox world there is no lines that can’t be crossed. Just face the facts. You ban them, they will buy another account. Something gets censored, basically where do you stop then. It all comes down to the person whom is doing it. You have to be mature enough to know when to stop. And for some adults (yes I said adults because they play games just as much as kids and teenagers) being mature is just too hard.
Okay, this is ridiculous to start off with. Sure we hear this type of stuff on Xbox live, but really I hear most of this everyday at school. Also, its not just Xbox Live, but it is also the media. Have you guys ever heard of Boondocks? Guess not… I would say that on Boondocks they use the word n**ga maybe 20-30 times per episode. I don’t see anyone coming after them?
Also, to use Xbox Live, you have to have parents permission if you are under 18 and you get an account. And why in the hell did those kids volunteer for that crap anyways?
Finally: There are so many forums that you can go to that have all of this language on them, but then are eventually deleted.
Also, talking to strangers online isn’t a crime. I’m only 16, but I talk to a bunch of people on Xbox Live, and I’ve never had problems. Back when I was 13, I was using vent./teamspeak when I used to play CS, Quake 3, UT2004 and I’m fine. Its all the stupid kids that are giving out all the info, they need to be educated on this.
I play with 4 guys that go to college in NJ, and all of them are real cool to play with.
Has Fox not heard of myspace?
**By the way, most of this is just so fox reels in more viewers, its all about publicity now, and that is why a lot of things are being blown out of proportion**
Feel free to disagree, I just typed this up pretty quickly.
I don’t see the big deal honestly you can hear these “offensive” comments anywhere they could here it at school, on the street, or even hear it with your friends but since its xbox live OH NO THATS DIFFERENT we have to censore it if you censore xbox live then you might as well put earplugs in your childs ear when they go to school.
Oh and I’m sure letting your kids hear cursing on Xbox live is much worse than you know… unknowingly letting them go to parties and getting smashed and all… (trust me, so many kids in my school drink underage, and there has been cops involved, and trips to the hospital). The worst thing is that parents don’t know that a lot of this drinking starts in 8th/9th grade, when kids are 13-15.
fox news can go beep a beep those beeps
they do this with all video games because they dont have real news
look at what they did about Grand Theft auto
I just wish i could talk to their sorry reporters over xbox live all the news channels are eithercommunist or liberal anyway
Thank you Fox News for warning me about something I participate in. LOLOLOLOL on the Fox News on giving me more ideas
Wow. Have people never been to high school? Halo 3’s language is no worse than the language at lunch during school. Fox News needs to get a life. So do people who are concerned about this garbage.
This is up to parents, bottom line. If people don’t know how to use a controller they shouldn’t buy it for their kids, why give them something you don’t understand. Would you buy a kid a car and not know how to drive?
