Massive Action Game (M.A.G) Trailer/Interview

Here is a look at MAG (Massive Action Game) for the PS3. I have to say that the title of this game is horrible, it needs to be renamed and fast.

Andy from Zipper mentions that they will be taxing the PS3 in making this game and it will be a multiplayer game only. It sounds like different squads will get specific objectives to complete on a map. It may be that in order for one squad to move on you need to destroy or deploy a bridge and things like that? Andy keeps a lot of information a secret, but does say that it will release next year and be set in the near future approximately 10 years in the future.

Again I think the concept of having 256 players is awesome, but I will need to see it in action before I am a true believer that this would be more than a cluster F. Check out the video and notice that most of it is CG rendered.

Hit the jump for the interview with Andy from Zipper where he talks more about MAG and what it will do.

I think this game has a lot of potential and am looking forward to it. I don’t know why people are bashing because it’s going to be a 256 player game, it’s based on real life operations. You don’t see the military sending out their top 10 soldiers to participate in a war in real life…

If squads get different objectives, that will open the door for specialty squads, like a demolition squad, a recon squad, etc. I like this more and more.
