There are some lifetime bans that are way too harsh. Johnny Drama getting banned from the Playboy mansion. Some recent tomfoolery has gotten Gizmodo a ban for themselves. I could explain what they did, but its much funnier if you just watch. Let’s just say you won’t see Gizmodo and the guys from Motorola going out for a beer anytime soon. We can’t embed the link, so just click here for first hand footage of what went down. Dick move or good old fashioned ball breakin’? What do you guys think?

Thats a really dick move. This is an consumer expo, where peoples jobs are on the line. If you are trying to sell a TV, and it just turns off, you may lose a sale.

Thats a pretty dick thing that Gizmondo did, I really hope their servers get hacked and kiddy porn gets put all over them and then we will see who is laughing.

They need to grow up if they want to be taken as a serious blog now. In my opinion that is a stupid thing to do.

Everyone has their different opinions though.

While I do see why they would think it’s funny, doing it during any presentation, especially a press event, is an insanely dick move. Pulling it on a wall of tv’s briefly is one thing, but repeating it and hurting the companies that are trying to get their product out there is another. Dumb move, and I think they’re going to have some backlash to deal with

yeah, that’s terrible.. Funny but way too serious to do it when & as often as they did

Honestly, I hope that they get sued for disrupting the press event. People that were there may just think that the displays were bad, and most people don’t go online to check for pranks pulled at CES.

This can really hurt a companies sales, and they need to learn that maybe its funny at a store like Bestbuy (do it once), but not at a huge PROFESSIONAL event where they only invite people that they think won’t do this type of thing.

That’s pretty f’d up that they messed with what people do for a living. They deserve the ban.

Tell us how you really feel, Fragloser.

But seriously, the internets is made for fun and games, and shouldn’t be taken seriously. When that spills out into real life, it becomes an issue - exactly what happened here. This was some [I’m assuming unintentionally] harmful fun that should have remained on the internets.

Dude, I wouldn’t hesitate to do the same thing, it was freakin hilarious, reeks of teh 1337 pwnage, and who gives a rats ass if this “awsome” fatality dude misses a game on a PC, WHO CARES, so what you miss out on seeing a phone you’re going to buy anyway, which has the same things as your current phone, but more, at twice or three times the price. Hi Mom!

“it was freakin hilarious, reeks of teh 1337 pwnage, and who gives a rats ass if this “awsome” fatality dude misses a game on a PC, WHO CARE”

I don’t mean to cut you down, but this doesn’t even have to do with PC gaming, fatality, or anyone like that.

First: CES is a gathering of professionals and journalists (who are also professionals). It is a way to showcase new products of theirs without disruption, or else all of us would be there. They only let a select number in because they don’t want this thing to happen.

@Mister Needles - from that last post I am going to assume that you don’t know the meaning of work, and are probably in school right now. Just wait until you get to the real world, you are doing a presentation, something messes up, and you lose your job for it. That is what you don’t understand yet, this was a adult event, so that this would not happen.

@XiD - They did do this intentionally. Maybe it would have been funny if they only did it once, but they kept on doing it, which at that point makes it a annoyance for multiple shows to get messed up by some immature journalists. And in my opinion the internet was originally made for business, and this was an issue at the expo, which was why they were banned.

I know everyone has their personal opinions, but anyone who lives off of successful presentations would be very annoyed if you ruined what they worked so hard for.

    @fragloser
You obviously have no idea who I am. First off, I know what the CES is, but since I saw the kid I figure I’d include him in my comment. Second, if you base your assumtions of people on their internet personalities, you are horribly mistaken; keep in mind, if you assume you make an ass of u and me.

Its just that it is annoying to try to discuss something, and then have someone just jump on and say something you did, which had no meaning what so ever, and didn’t prove your point at all. If you are going to argue with me afterwards, at least say why.

I think it could be a good point that you have, I’m just wondering why you think that.
