So if you have played any part of the original Ninja Gaiden games either for the Xbox or PS3 you know that the game’s difficulty is probably one of the hardest on record. Something tells me that the folks making Ninga Gaiden 2 have the same idea up their sleave, but possibly with an easier level of difficulty for those that lost their minds and their friends while playing the first version.

There will be 4 difficulty levels. Level 2 will be recommended for those who cleared the first game. Level 3 for those pretty skilled and huge fans. Level 4 is made to be really hard. They’re thinking about possibly altering how much damage you take and how many items you can carry depending on the difficulty.

Looks like there are a confirmed 4 levels of difficulty along with a change in how many items you can carry with you now, I can only guess that the 4 difficulties are: Normal, Hard, F*$%g Hard and Kill Your Friends. What do you think?

I’m thinking I’ll be slumming it down on Level 1. Maybe I’ll try out Level 2, but I did get stuck in the Xbox game and needed a guide… I’d rather not have to resort to that in the sequel.

Ninja Gaiden has nothing on Contra: Shattered Soldier, in terms of difficulty or frustration.

Yeah Shattered Soldier was really hard. I remember trying to play with my wife (she’s a huge fan of the original Contra) and she quit playing after we both died like 30 times in a row on the first level
