I have to say I had high hopes for this game after my initial viewing of the game and its nice graphics and different options, but I was overwhelmingly unimpressed by the game itself. I sunk my teeth in and started to play some matches on normal and the game just feels forced to me. I tried playing a Royal Rumble match which has different guys running in at set increments of time to fight and throw each other out of the ring and I couldn’t even win a ten man fight on easy. The Royal Rumble is quite cheesy in that the computer will double team you to eliminate you. I then tried playing some of the career mode to get a different taste, but I got a bit more of the same, a forced experience that left me feeling empty, typically when I get home I crave some video games but after playing WWE SvR 2K7 I wasn’t smiling.
If you check the achievements they are equally outrageous, finish a 30 man Royal Rumble on Legend, defend your title online 20 times, etc. Things that would take you far too long to be worth it in the long run. If you have any older version of SvR you will see a lot of the same old hat here with prettier graphics. I actually have the PSP version and found that more entertaining because at least its a handheld, I expected a lot more from SvR on the next gen console.
