Zelda Kit Coming to the Wii

Nintendo has a mixed history of some add ons. The power pad is still under my bed and the power glove was burned in effigy sometime last decade, but ign.com reports that a sweet add on is coming for the Wii, namely for the Zelda titles.

Here are some pictures of the sword and shield combo. They serve no functional purpose, but for 20 bucks, the assumed asking price, why not?

All I can say is the marketing team behindd this spot has to be a team of sheer geniuses! Get two hot chicks and make them sit in front of an Xbox 360. The video is funny since the controllers they are holding still have the stickers on them indicating they have never really been played with. Also I like how the one model holds the controller all awkward, I am not fluent in Japanese, but one shot looks like she is saying WTF is this thing, just take pictures of me I am hot! What do you think?

Tiger Woods 08 Face Importing Video

drunk pandas | 0 Comments

Tiger Woods 08 Image

In this year’s Tiger Woods game for Xbox 360, PS3, and PC, you’ll be able to import pictures of yourself to make your own face in the game. You use the Xbox Live Vision Camera, PS3 EyeToy, or you can upload pictures of yourself to EA’s website.

It looks like EA has done a great job with this feature in Tiger Woods.

Check out the video after the jump, since Gamespot doens’t make it easy to disable auto-play on their videos.

Bungie Day ImageYes folks, today is officially Bungie Day throughout the world. Celebrate with your Halo lords by fragging a couple friends online in Halo 2 for either the Xbox or PC.

As a special gift, Bungie is putting up some special Bungie Day gamer pictures and a theme for FREE on the Xbox Live Marketplace on the Xbox 360. You read that right… FREE.

Make sure you grab these pretty quick, though. Once midnight hits, these puppies are gone forever. As in never available again. As in pray your Xbox 360 doesn’t die if you enjoy these because you won’t be able to download them again.

GamertagI am sure that my feeling of disapproval with pricing schemes in regards to gamerpics and themes on the Xbox 360 marketplace is shared. I for one like having different Gamerpics and actually try and switch mine up every once in a while as well as the themes, but I just cant see myself paying for many of them for a couple of reasons.

My main reason is that you can only have one theme set at a time and a max of two gmaerpics. This stinks in my opinion, why pay for multiiple themes or pics if you can only use one set at a time? If Xbox added a feature to rotate your different pics and themes I would certainly purchase more. Have it set so you pick like ten gamerpics and maybe 4 or 5 themes and have it rotate on a timed basis, kind of like your backgrounds on your computer and screensavers.

Also the pics and themes typically are overpriced, they are just small pictures, why make them cost so darn much? It does not take much to have them up and I do not understand how some are free and others are a couple of bucks? Either make them all free or make them a nominal fee, I would lean toward free.

The Xbox 360 camera pics should also be able to be saved as themes or allow users to use multiple personal pictures to be used on each blade of the in game menus instead of just having one on all. You can take a pic using your camera and make that your gamerpic, which is kind of cool but then that is one less purchased gamerpic you can’t use.

1 up shroomI recently came across some cool Nintendo plushy toys in a local store. They had the green mushroom and the red mushroom along with some Kupa Trooper pillows. The store also had some other nice exotics like a pink, white and blue PSP, these were pretty pimp. They also had some imported titles like, Pokemon Diamond before it hit the streets here, I will try to grab some pictures if I go back.

SteelSeries SXSo you thought that your Ziggy mousepad was cool, then you haven’t seen anyhitng yet. SteelSeries has released their new SteelSeries SX mousepad made of fiber polished aluminum and an anodized oxide surface treated. (I don’t even know wtf those are, but damn if they don’t sound fancy) It even comes with a treated cloth that ensures less friction.

These surfaces are boasting the smoothest surface possible and the ultimate in gaming reaction time. I had no idea that a mousepad had that much of an affect in gaming, but I guess I was wrong. If you want to roll like a pro gamer this bad boy will seet you back $60 but it will ensure you get at least two extra kills per CounterStrike match. (Ok I made that part up, but it is space age.)

Check it out. What next a carbon fiber mouse?

    Form the press release:

The spectacular gliding sensation of the SteelSeries SX is achieved by the most time consuming manufacturing process ever put into a mousepad from SteelSeries. Every SteelSeries SX is individually fiber polished and anodized, before being manually treated with a new unique liquid silicone coating, developed specifically for this surface. The surface on the SteelSeries SX was further developed and sophisticated from an original aluminum surface released by SteelSeries in 2001, once labeled “the sexiest mouse pad in the entire industry” by Angel Munoz, Founder and President of The Cyberathlete Professional League®.
