Looks like Jack Thompson has gotten bored once again and is taking aim at Rockstar and Take Two for allegedley including him into their video game. I am pretty sure that parody can not be censored in any way shape or form, but leave it to good old Jack to try and put the kabosh on things.
I think it is a bit vain of him to think that just becasue the lawyer mentions a video game that it automatically is him. Either way Jack has taken aim on GTA IV and wants answers!
Well played Rockstar.
This is taken from a letter by Jack Thompson to the fine folks over at Take Two:
I have this morning read with interest an article on page 80 and 81 of the September 2007 issue of Game Informer magazine which was generated when, according to its author, Rockstar Games “stopped by the Game Informer offices for an impromptu hour-long gameplay session with the Xbox 360 version of the game.”

At E3, Game Head got a chance to talk to Jack Tretton about losing GTA4 as a PlayStation exclusive. In the interview, Jack revealed that Rockstar would be developing a new, exclusive franchise for the PS3 after Grand Theft Auto 4. Some are speculating this will be LA Noire, but Jack somewhat shot that down.
I guess we’ll have to wait and see what comes of this new exclusive franchise. I hope it’s not more ping pong.
The boys over at Rockstar are geniuses, I can’t believe Xbox has this on their home page.

There are actually some rather large names on here coming up by the end of the year and next year. I hadn’t realized just how many titles Take Two was involved with, between GTA, All-Pro Football 2k8, Bioshock and Manhunt 2 alone their plates are way full.
Here is a detailed lineup from Take Two Entertainment:
Title - Platform - Release
All-Pro Football 2K8 - Xbox 360, PS3 - Third quarter 2007
Fantastic 4: Rise of the Silver Surfer - Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PS2, DS - Third quarter 2007
Manhunt 2 - Wii, PS2, PSP — Third quarter 2007
The BIGS - Xbox 360, PS3, Wii, PS2, PSP - Third quarter 2007
The Darkness - Xbox 360, PS3 - Third quarter 2007
BioShock - Xbox 360, PC - Fourth quarter 2007

NHL 2K8 - Xbox 360, PS3, PS2 - Fourth quarter 2007
This could be one of the funniest user videos I’ve seen. I’ve watched it over and over already, probably more than the Haloid video.
Basically, what you have here, is the intro to Fresh Prince of Bel Air recreated in GTA San Andreas. Hilarity ensues.
Here are some good and bad news from all things Grand Theft Auto. For GTA IV, there will be some next features as expected from GTA4.net:
Now for the bad news, it seems that there will NOT be a San Andreas Stories coming out for the PSP. Qj.net reports that Houser said that there are no plans for a PSP version of the game. So, while a lot PSP owners will probably still be waiting for a PSP release, it’s unlikely that it will be coming anytime soon. Possible reasons are that the the whole staff is working nonstop on the next gen release or that the sheer volume of the game will not fit on one UMD disk. Either way, this news is disappointment to PSP owners.
Thats right finally someone has stepped up and written an article to defend the activity of playing video games. Yahoo Games recently had an article in which they discuss five reasons why video games are good for you.
1. They can improve your eyesight. Hand eye coordination is improved by playing shooters that force your eyes to track movements on a screen. A research stiuy at the University of Rochester showed increased accuracy to pick out objects out of a cluttered space after playing games like Halo and Gears for 30 hours. Although play 72 hours straight and I think you can actually see the 4th dimension and pink elephants.
2. They can help you focus.A Cornell study in conjuction with NASA showed kids with ADHD, attention disorders, benefited from playing games. They would actually focus on scoring higher or leveling and help them concentrate on that particular task.
3. They can help you lose weight. We all hear stories about the Wii and DDR and how you can lose weight, but this guy actually chronicles his weight loss. Break out your Wii remotes and get some tennis in to get those washboard abs.
4. They can help you understand classic literature.Ok I don’t quite see the direct correlation between GTA and Shakespeare but they do make some comparisons between current video game characters such as Master Chief as an epic hero. I guess so, at least if you get an RPG you’ll have to read somewhat.
5. They can literally save your life. This one is pretty kool. A doctor at New York’s Beth Israel Medical Center actually tells patients that he is “awesome at Super Monket Ball”. The doctor’s theory is that playing games made him a better surgeon and impacted his skills with laparoscopic surgery tools. Now that is something to hear from your doctor, I didn’t go to medical school but I f@ckin rock at Trauma Center, let’s get started!
6. They make you better in bed. Ok, ok… so I made this one up, but if you have played God of War I or II there is a mini-game in there that might give you ideas. The possibilities are endless.
All in all I think ths article puts a nice positive spin on gaming and has some substance to back it up. Now go out there and improve your life one game at a time.
Our friends at computerandvideogames.com report that Rockstar is finding some issues with the Xbox360 and trying to finalize its monster title. Apparently, the problem lies in the hard drive exclusivity of the PS3. While almost everyone who has a Xbox360 has a hard drive, everyone who has a PS3 has a hard drive. The caveat here is that the systems, though comparable in graphics with the Blu-ray exception, Rockstar is trying to find ways to configure the game so it is the same on both despite these small but important differences. When asked, Rockstar big wig, Dan Houser replied, “To be honest with you we haven’t solved all those riddles yet.” He also claims that the sky is not falling and the game will show no detriments on the Xbox360, but it seems this problem will arise again.
