Sony released two new screenshots for the upcoming PS3 SOCOM title, which had slipped our minds with all the other big releases on deck.
The first screen (above), shows the map Crossroads, one of the most fan requested maps from SOCOM of old. The second (below) is from a new map, still unnamed, which features 16 or 32 player match sizes.
The game is looking a lot like GRAW visually. I’m sure things will change as we see more screens and get some hands on time.

It looks ok, but I wasn’t a big fan of SOCOM. GRAW, I dunno, it just makes you want to play it more than SOCOM.
I find both of them fun, until recently. I just didn’t find the GRAW2 demo to be much fun. Maybe it’s just me.
GRAW 2 wasnt that good, GRAW 1 felt fresh and new IMO
anyways I love socom, never did play it online though (I mean, its a PS2…who did play online?) but the SP was great. Ill pick this up, I hear the multiplayer is great.
I played SOCOM online, with my PS2 broadband. Unfortunately, people with 56k figured out how to get online and ruined the experience for me.
hmm so is it bad? other than the 56kers?
At the time, it was pretty good (except the 56ers).
ahh I see, btw Matt, is this game Multiplayer only? like warhawk? or does it SP? the videos ive seen looks to be MP
