Here’s some more gameplay footage of Ratchet and Clank Future for the PS3. It’s been said by a few other people, and I’ll say it too. Sony wanted games to look like Toy Story on earlier PlayStations… they’re a bit late, but I’ll be damned if this doesn’t look like a Pixar movie.
Hideo Kojima always comes strong to press events with new Metal Gear trailers. This year’s E3 was no exception. Check out the 6 minutes trailer here. It’s intense.
You’ve probably noticed there’s more than the normal amount of videos on the front few pages here at Loot Ninja. Well, it’s E3 time, and we want to make sure you get to see everything from the show.
So sit back, relax, enjoy the view.
If there’s a trailer we missed you want to see, let us know. If you think some of the trailers we put up suck, drop a comment
Well, I’d say semi-confirmed. We all know it’s coming anyway.
An SCEA employee confirmed to Brian Ashcraft of Kotaku that, indeed, a version of the SIXAXIS with rumble will be coming this year. When? We’re hearing September. That means the new 80GB PS3 will NOT have the rumble controller bundled in.
I will definitely be grabbing a couple of these come September.
Sony wants to make you work to find some of their cool E3 Booth videos. They’ve hidden 7 videos across the PlayStation Store for you to find. Luckily, a few users on the official Sony forums found them for us.

Did you miss the E3 Nintendo conference or had to do yardwork while it was on? Yeah, that sucked, but our friend Ozymandias, who is both a gamer and a well written gaming contributor had these thoughts, which are by far the best I have seen.
Demographic numbers were interesting - it’s positive to see the audience broadening, and Nintendo has to be applauded here.
The Wii Zapper and Wii Wheel fell extremely flat with the audience - not a single clap of applause, even when announcing they’d be bundled with future games. The magic of the Wii is the pointing controller; embedding it into a shaped piece of plastic just isn’t exciting to me.
The “innovative” Metroid control is “more of the same” thinking; aiming in an FPS with the Wii controller is wonky, and adding Z-targeting just doesn’t make it any better.
During last night’s E3 announcments, Microsoft annouonced that the original Sonic the Hedgehog and Golden Axe would be available as of last night for download off of the Microsoft marketplace for 400 MS points. These two Xbox Live Arcade titles are part of the Sega Vintage Collection and are pretty fun and very worth it for $5. Sonic and Golden Axe are nice additions to the Xbox 360 Arcade lineup and if you haven’t had a chance to download them at least try out the free trials, you won’t be dissappointed. I wonder if as part of this new Sega Vintage Collection we wil see some other classics like VectorMan or any of the Phantasy Star games?
Sorry Xbox 360 fanboys, Metal Gear Solid 4 is still a PS3 exclusive title. It was rumored that Microsoft would drop a bomb on the gaming community during it’s E3 press event stating that MGS4 would be multi-platform, but alas, nothing was mentioned.
A source from Hideo Kojima’s camp told CVG:
“[Kazumi] Kitaue is constantly trying to force Kojima to drop the game’s PS3 exclusivity, which Hideo refuses point blank to do. Trust me MGS4 will be a PS3 exclusive for for months at least.”
Good for you Kojima. You have to love developers that stick to their guns (no pun intended).
Microsoft announced last night that a limited edition Halo 3 Xbox 360 would be released this September. The new console features an exclusive “Spartan green and gold” finish and comes bundled with a matching Xbox 360 Wireless Controller, 20GB Hard Drive, Headset, Play & Charge Kit, and exclusive Halo 3 Gamer Pics and Theme (available via Xbox Live download).
The funny part is what’s listed further down the description page on xbox.com… an HDMI port is included in the console. Does this mean we’ll start seeing HDMI ports in all 360’s once they switch over to the “falcon” chipset? It would seem plausible, as manufacturing two different motherboards would keep costs higher.
Either way, I doubt too many people will be shelling out more money for another Xbox 360 at this point.
Resident Evil will officially make it’s debut on the Xbox 360 with the 5th installment of the series. I can’t say I’m terribly surprised by this, considering Capcom already said they plan to make all games multi-platform. Anyway, here’s some horrific beauty for you.
