I was able to get out today and get a new 360 from Best Buy. Unfortunately, I didn’t get one with the new quiet Benq/LG drive. I’m going to spend a good portion of the week playing Rainbow Six: Vegas, Lost Planet, and Gears of War… that is until I get Crackdown Tuesday afternoon. Look […]

While listening to Major Nelson’s Podcast (a show any Xbox 360 fan should listen to), my super-sensitive ears came across a comment that although mentioned very causally, certainly carries many implications. During Larry’s interview with Andre, he questioned him about games that are prettier than Gears (being that Andre sees the 360 portfolio for […]

So my power is back finally. It was bouncing all around all night. Hasn’t gone out since about 4am. I also got cable back. The main junction box froze up and then a tree fell on it, so I was without tv, internet, and phone, which was a pain in the ass. Anyway, I’m back […]

I’m still having ranked match issues in Gears of War. I can search for a quick match or custom match, but every time I try to join one, I get a message that “You have lost connection to the host.” So I still can’t get into any ranked matches. Didn’t feel like player matches last […]

I had not played Gears in a while since my Xbox couldn’t play the game for more than 5 minutes without crashing, so I decided to give it a whirl. I jumped into some ranked matches and started to get the feel back, like riding a bike almost. I must say I am a chainsaw whore, […]

So I got back and had a chance to get some gaming in on Friday, so I put in Gears of War and Marvel UA, which both continue to give me freezing problems sporadically. Time to send the system back to Best Buy for a new one this week. I played Marvel UA and got […]

Hello out there. I am alive. I just finished my thesis for my Master’s degree in Sport Administration at the University of Miami. Things have been extremely stressful for the past month and now the job search continues. If anyone is interested in reading it, let me know. It is on “Psychological testing in Major […]

Okay, Drunk Pandas has been wanting me to do a post for a while here, and so today, I felt the need to really let it all out about another thing that has grinded my gears. So, I check out my rss feed for majornelsons blog around 2:05 today, and am shocked to see that […]
