Many have asked where are the Wii games?

taz8080 | 0 Comments

Big cup of STFUNintendo is replying – here they are, now shut up!
This is a huge list of games that will put the library of Wii titles close to 150 (not counting Virtual Console games) and the DS titles close to 450.

I thnk Nintendo really wants to show everyone that not only Nintendo developed games are scheduled ot hit the console but also a lot of third party games as well, many have speculated that third party developers would shy away from the unique controls.

Here is the all encompassing list of games scheduled to come out for the Wii and the DS until the first quarter of next year.

Wii
Oct. 1: MLB(R) Power Pros from 2K Sports
Oct. 1: Dragon Blade: Wrath of Fire(TM) from D3Publisher of America
Oct. 2: Crash(R) of the Titans from Sierra Entertainment, Inc.
Oct. 5: Balls of Fury(TM) from DSI Games
Oct. 8: Donkey Kong(R): Barrel Blast from Nintendo

Haze Goes Gold

drunk pandas | 1 Comment

Haze Screenshot

Ubisoft previously announced Haze is only coming to the PS3, and now they’ve announced it’s gone gold.

GamePower in Australia is reporting that Ubisoft has been telling everyone that Haze has been released to manufacturing. The game has a scheduled release date of November 19th in the US. Seems a little late given the fact the game is already gone gold?

Maybe this will give Ubisoft time to get a demo together before release for the PlayStation Store…

Haze Now Fully PS3 Exclusive

drunk pandas | 7 Comments

Haze Screenshot

Haze, the new sci-fi first person shooter from Ubisoft, which was once set as a timed exclusive for the PS3 is now fully exclusive.

Ubisoft confirmed to Gamespot UK that the PS3 version is currently the only one in development, no plans to bring it to any other platforms at a later date.

Today, Ubisoft said that currently no other versions in development, and although it was still leaving the door open in the future for “new partnerships,” currently the game is indeed only planned for the PS3. A spokesperson said, “The official statement on PC and Xbox 360 is that these platforms are not confirmed.”

The Web sites of Free Radical, the Official Haze site, and Ubisoft site, all now only list the PS3 version of the game.

All of the trailers for this game have looked pretty good. I’m not a big FPS fan, but I’ll give it a look and see how it goes.

GRAW 2 Throwback Pack Now FREE

drunk pandas | 1 Comment

GRAW 2 Screen

In case you didn’t want to drop the 800 MS Points for the GRAW2 Throwback Pack that was released this past May, you can now download it for free for the Xbox 360.

The pack includes 7 remastered maps from the original Ghost Recon and the first GRAW.

Too little, too late I think. Most people have moved on from GRAW2 on the Xbox 360 and started playing other games. I think Ubisoft almost had to do this on 360 since the PS3 version will include these maps for free.

Hip-Hop + Chess Federation + Chessmaster Video Game Announce 1st Annual Chess Kings Invitational

drunk pandas | 5 Comments

Chess

I’m not quite sure what to make of this. When I think of chess, the last thing that crosses my mind on conjunction is hip hop music. The two disciplines just don’t match up. But alas, a new federation has been formed.

The 1st Annual Chess Kings Invitational will kick off with HHCF’s Life Strategies All-Star Panel. The Life Strategies panel will feature multi-platinum rappers RZA and GZA from the Wu-Tang Clan, chess icon Josh Waitzkin, turntable wizards DJ QBert and DJ Disk and other surprise guests in a discussion about how music, chess and martial arts have guided them in their paths to success.

Hey, whatever works and makes money. Is anyone else as confused about this as I am?

Have we run out of ideas for games all together?

taz8080 | 4 Comments

I came across this image in a forum and thought it was hilarious on a couple of different levels. One – Who is the target audience for this game? Is it suppposed to make you a better parent kind of like NintenDogs makes you a better dog owner?? Two – Why would Ubisoft waste their time on developing this, I am sure they could have put out a Splinter Cell version of something and made people much happier. Three- Why… just why make this?

The hit series Heroes’ will be coming to your next gen consoles reports ubisoftgroup.com. Here is an official statement from Ubisoft about the upcoming project:

“Heroes” is an epic drama that chronicles the lives of ordinary people across the world who discover they possess extraordinary abilities, such as telepathy, time travel and flight. They will soon come to realize that the fate of the world depends on them, and be forced to team up against someone seeking to eliminate them.

“With a gripping storyline and rich characters, Heroes lends itself naturally to a video game fomat,” said Christian Salomon, vice president of worldwide licensing at Ubisoft. “By offering people the chance to interact directly with the show’s captivating universe, there is no doubt that the game will appeal to both fans of the series and avid gamers.”

No word yet on when the game will be completed, but expect to hear updates as soon as we get them.

Ubisoft Announces Details of Lost: The Game

drunk pandas | 0 Comments

Lost Smoke Monster Image

If you’re a Lost fan and have been waiting patiently to hear how the video game version of you’re favorite dramatic TV show will play out, you don’t have to wait anymore. Ubisoft announced details today for the Lost game, coming in the first quarter of 2008 for the Xbox 360, PS3, and PC.

As a passenger of Oceanic flight 815, you survived the crash and find yourself on an uncharted island somewhere in the Pacific Ocean. As you begin to unravel mysteries of the island, you begin to discover secrets of your own. You will have to understand your past mistakes in order to survive and find your way home…

  • Play as a survivor of Oceanic Flight 815: Confront your dark past, seek your redemption, and ultimately find a way home.
  • Authentic ‘Lost’ experience: Explore familiar locations, unravel mysteries, and interact with the main characters from the show.
  • Survive the challenges that the island throws at you: Solve puzzles, outsmart enemies, battle the smoke monster, and overcome many other challenges to survive the island and come out alive.

Sounds pretty cool. Hopefully we get to play ping pong with Sawyer and Hurley. Maybe throw Darma peanut butter jars at Hurley because he’s too obese. Whatever floats your boat.

Rainbow Six: Vegas Black Pack Should Have Been Free

drunk pandas | 0 Comments

Rainbow Six Vegas Screenshot

Yeah, Microsoft screwed this one up again. Or maybe it was a combination of Microsoft and Ubisoft. Either way, it’s another overpriced error on the Xbox Live Marketplace which does not bode well for Microsoft’s image.

The Rainbow Six: Vegas Black Pack was released last week to a bit of an uproar, as it was available on the Xbox Live Marketplace for 800 MS Points ($10). It’s the same price as the previous Red Pack, which had much more to offer. After a couple days, the Black Pack mysteriously disappeared. Well, Major Nelson now sheds some light on the situation: the Black Pack should be free. Yes, free.

‘Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Vegas Black Pack Downloadable Content for Xbox 360 Live was originally intended to be free content for the fans of Rainbow Six Vegas. We apologize for the error. All players who purchased the Black Pack will be reimbursed automatically.* The Black Pack will be posted Saturday June 30th and will be free of charge. Also, as a token of our appreciation for the Rainbow Six community, we are making the Red Pack free as of Friday July 6th as well. Thanks for playing and we hope you enjoy this free content.’

Glad the error is being corrected, although Microsoft is saying it’ll be 8-10 weeks to reimburse people who paid for the content. Giving away the Red Pack for free is a huge plus as well. I’ll be downloading these as soon as possible.
