So we have heard a lot of tales and have all imagined that the Wii would be a perfect fit for a Star Wars Lightsaber adaptation and it looks like the real thing will be on display at GameCity. Gamers will get a chance to hack and slash while playing with the Lego Star Wars Complete Saga game from LucasArts. I wonder if the will make a double sided version for the Darth Maul enthusiasts?
From the official press release:

Family Guy will resume showing new episodes this September and the first one will be one to remember. Seth Macfarlane and co. have re- imagined the Star Wars universe with none other than the Griffins. This is the official wall poster. Cannot wait until this comes out.
In a picture so puzzling to all, LucasArts unveils their Star Wars Force Unleashed box art along with what looks like a mixed up Sony PS3 controller, the D-Pad has found a new home. I can’t put my finger on it but it looks strangely familiar… o wait i know it looks like the Xbox format now!? The world is spinning in an opposite direction now, good job to LucasArts for thoroughly confusing us all, pleae note the lack of a home button as well, here is the site.
Finally we will be able to control an actual light saber from the safety of our living rooms. Our friends at computerandvideogames.com report that the Wiimote will be used in the upcoming release of Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga. It is not a quantum leap, but definitely a step in a positive direction. What self respecting Star Wars fan doesn’t want to wield a light saber? The Z button will do most of the lego and weapons work but the waggle will constitute the actual use of the saber with striking and deflecting blasts. You know someone is going to dress as a Jedi and lock the door. You just know it’ll come to that.
