Miami Vice
Saw Michael Mann’s version of “Miami Vice” in theaters last night. I figured I was compelled to see it since I live there. Let me just point out some inaccuracies and issues I have with the movie.
1. The first scene shows everyone dancing and partying in what is supposed to be the club “Mansion”, they even have the real door man. But it is not the location of the club nor can you leave the building from how they did and end up on a roof overlooking downtown Miami.
2. When making a movie in a particularly large spanish area and some lines in the movie are spoken in other languages, make sure to have sub titles for those portions of the population who can’t speak or understand that crap. Because when the whole movie theater laughs and I don’t even know what is going on, that is awkward.
3. Idiots still can’t turn off their cell phones in the theater.
4. People down here get more dressed up to go to the movies than any other area I have ever witnessed.
On to another topic, I purchased three interesting t-shirts yesterday, of which I recommend browsing this site: DeezTees
Mets played a great series against the Braves, minus a few defenses errors, yet still swept them for the first time since a two-game series in 89 and a four-game series in 85. Trade deadline is upon us, lets see if Minaya makes any moves. Front runners to join the Mets via trade are Livan Hernandez or Tony Armas from the Nationals. Okay that is all for now.
