After all the rumors, it seems that Kindom Hearts 385/2 Days is finally a debut on the Nintendo DS. Too much wasn’t discussed, but a video was shown by Reggie on the floor. I’m pretty sure you Kingdom Hearts fanatics are in tears in excitement unless, of course, you’re an avid Sony fan who’s currently despising everything Nintendo right about now.
Not too much information with regards to the Kingdom Hearts DS version was unveiled, but I’m pretty sure more stuff will pop out as the days turn out. Kingdom Hears 385/2 Days is launching on September 11th, 2009.
There’s going to be a lot of angry PSP owners, I’ll say that much. Watching the trailer below would have you believe that only a portable handheld like the PSP can produce such vivid graphics and detail. Sorry to be the bearer of bad news, people, but, apparently, the Nintendo DS is capable of crunching out sharp details as well. And it’s doing it without remorse. Below is the TGS trailer for Kingdom Hearts 358/2 Days (How the hell do you pronounce this thing?), developed by Square Enix, exclusively for the Nintendo DS. If you’re an avid Kingdom Hearts fan, or into female-looking dudes, please take a look.
Square Enix will be bringing the Kingdom Hearts world to portable devices in the near future with 3 new titles for the Nintendo DS, Sony PSP, and mobile phones.
Square Enix, Co., Ltd. (Tokyo, Japan, Square Enix), a leading developer and publisher of interactive entertainment software and services, announced three new titles in the award-winning KINGDOM HEARTS series at the Tokyo Game Show 2007 held in Makuhari Messe. The new titles are KINGDOM HEARTS 358/2 Days for the Nintendo DS™, KINGDOM HEARTS Birth by Sleep for the PSP® (PlayStation®Portable) system, and KINGDOM HEARTS coded for mobile phones. These titles are currently only confirmed for release in Japan. Release in other territories will be determined at a later date.
Hopefully these titles end up being released on other parts of the world. They would definitely sell a hell of a lot of copies.
