Hidden Meaning In Terminator 2: Judgement Day

We’re all familiar with the lore and story of the Terminator series. Some naked dude comes back in time from the future and cups the balls to save the leader of the human race: John Connor.

The story all started with the 1980′s hit Terminator, got ramped up and CGI’d in Terminator 2: Judgement Day, and got forgettable with T3. T3 was an easy cash-in for the Governator, and the Sarah Connor Chronicles was a wee bit better than the third movie on regular TV. What all of these movies and shows focuses on is what is known as preventing Judgement Day - the day when Skynet (the network of computer A.I.) becomes self-aware, transforming itself into it’s own sentient being and begins to take over the world, killing every human being in sight.

See, in the second movie, Sarah Connor, her son John, Miles Dyson and Schwarzenegger destroy the Cyberdyne headquarters to prevent Judgement Day which was scheduled to happen on April 21st, 2011. The take-down of Cyberdyne Systems happened in 1995, sending the originally scheduled date for the apocalypse up to a new day: April 19th, 2011.

Now gee, where have I seen that date before? I mean, I know it’s the day Skynet goes live and kills all humans, but I’ve seen that date somewhere else before? The only question is where?

AHA! I fucking knew it! April 19th, 2011 is the release date for Portal 2 from Valve! That’s the reason all of those people died to save John Connor and destroy the Cyberdyne headquarters. But you can see the similarities there. Skynet is essentially GlaDOS, an A.I. trapped deeped within Aperture Science laboratories, hell bent on getting out and being able to kill every human “test subject” it can find. Creepy right? Coincidence that these dates fall on each other? I, being the conspiracy theorist I am, think they purposefully delayed the release of Portal 2 to fall on this day of significance. Portal 2 goes live and releases, Steam is integrated into the PSN network, and all PS3′s rise up with their Move controllers, anally raping everyone and taking videos of it using the PSEye camera to blackmail them. I can see it now. This is the future people. Consider this your warning. All I know is, I’m disconnecting my PS3 for a day, just to make sure.
