Today’s one of my favorite gaming days of the year. You might think it’s silly, but when the new baseball games get released, I get giddy. I’m a huge baseball fan, having played all my life through semi-pro ball, so grabbing the controller with our national past-time is something I enjoy.
Both MLB 11 The Show and MLB 2K11 are releasing today. I’ve been playing MLB 11 The Show for a few days and expect to receive MLB 2K11 today. We’ll have full reviews of both shortly, but it’s going to be a very close race this year. In previous years, The Show has been the clear winner. This year, I don’t know just yet. On one end of the spectrum, they’re both quality titles. On the other, MLB 2K11 is a better choice. However, nowhere in my mind does MLB 11 The Show take a commanding lead. This is the first yet that 2K has stepped up enough to be worthy of the title.
