Want to get in some Killzone 3 multiplayer action before the 2/22 release date? Make sure to fire up your PS3 tomorrow and head over to the PlayStation Store to download the Open Beta and get your Helghast headshot on. Beginning at 10am PT tomorrow (that’s 1pm ET if you can’t do math), you’ll be able to download the Open Beta and play your little heart out.
The Open Beta was supposed to start today, but some unforeseen issues pushed it back a day. Because of the delay, Sony and Guerrilla Games are throwing you a bone - 60 Killzone 3 Limited Helghast Editions will be given away to people playing this weekend. You can’t buy these in stores (only 1000 were made) and they include a Helghest helmet with LED glowing red eyes. Twenty players will be chosen per day from Friday through Sunday at random, so make sure you hop on every day for your chance to win.
Based on the closed Beta I’ve been playing and what I’ve heard from those with early review builds, this should be a killer app when it drops later this month. Fire up the Open Beta and help make the multiplayer experience better for everyone in the long run.
