Halo: Reach launched less than 10 hours ago. Why do we need a reference table for the Armor Permutations, Visor Colors, and Effect? It is likely many of you have already beaten the game. Here is a quick table so you can properly budget your CR and get what you really want. Since the armor changes have zero effect on any game play, but will be seen in all cut scenes of Campaign and in multiplayer, it is good to know what costs what and how far away you are from getting it. We will update the Unknowns when they are brought to light. See any mistakes? Let us know and we’ll give you a shout out.

It's great to know how much everything costs, but what's needed in order to even be able to buy them would be great. (ranks, campaign missions, achievements, ect)
i think you unlock them once youve earned a total (spent or unspent) of how much the item costs. like you could only have 2000cr but unlock somthing for 30000cr because even tho youve spent it you still have earned a total of 30000 over all. idk if im right but i think its a damned good theory. =)
You unlock peaces by geting combos of achievments, and you get to see more armor upgrades by increesing in rank and/or in cr.

You don't unlock them to buy when you get the correct amount of credits. I want to get the EOD helmet and have 15,000 but it's still locked to buy
@kalen, some also require a certain rank… there will be a box that is or isnt checked, that says prerequisite, if its not met, you can attempt to buy the item, and there it will give you the prerequisite needed

I have found out that some of the armor is unlocked by gaining achievements from other halo games ODST and halo wars and halo 3
mark v is a begginer helmet. you buy items with the money/ exp u earn in games. and the armor is only for looks. the other game acheviments are true just go to halo waypoint and see what acheviments u need. one of them is a type-o i think cause its a reach achevment but they say its odst.

is the armour effect "inclement weather" a death animation, or does it make you all electrical and stuff while you're walking around? because that would be sweet.
You get lightening surrounding your whole body. It's pretty cool, but a ton of cR and, in my opinion, makes you stand out more in games (people will be able to see you easier).

you have to reach a certain rank in order to by different armor like how you have to me a warrant officer to buy the air assault helmet, just try buying the shoulder pads and a little box will pop up explaining what level you have to be in order to get the armor… well to buy it that is.

the robot arm is available as soon as you hit Lt. Colonel
its unlocked by buying various chest pieces, the first one being collar/breacher. Once you purchase it, an alternate collar/breacher chest piece unlocks thats the same except its with the robotic arm. Its 75K.

To unlock the waypoint armour you have to have completed certain things such as in game achievements and certain levels of the waypoint career score. If you log into waypoint it will tell you what you have unlocked and you can look at what the prerequisites are for each piece.

Its like you spend exp. on your gear. All gear unlocks via rank there are no story awards except through halo waypoint. and thats only two helms.

Ok look why dosent everyone just play score attack, gruntpocolyps, it gives you the mose experience in about 7 min if ur good and just keep doing it, the trick is not to spend all your credits for every armor you see just save up for an armor you know your ganna wear you can only wear one combonation at a time so u might as well make it good, I’m at captain and I have 200000 credits cuz I didn’t waist my money on junk like kats helmet and useless sholders
i use my money. I’m a Lt. Colonel Grade 3 and have 54% ARMOR COMPLETION! Ive seen ONE Person in matchmaking with something higher than that, and he was t 56%
