My girlfriend is a huge Claudia Black and Farscape fan, so if I don’t write this article I’m going to have hell to pay and not get poonanny for a week. Plus, I gotta throw in a video game news story every once in awhile on the site that includes hot chicks. Gotta meet that quota.

This week was a big epic week for nerds keeping up with San Diego Comic-Con. During the nerd-gasm that goes on out there on the west coast, Epic Games revealed on their Comic-Con panel that space hottie Claudia Black of Farscape and Uncharted 2 fame will voice Sam in Gears of War 3. Claudia is most known for her work as of late as Chloe from Uncharted 2, but will also now be joining the already extensive voice cast of Ice-T and the Canadian rapper Drake (please don’t ask). This time she’ll be voicing one of the all new female COG members Sam. The difference between the female COG members? They have Hello Kitty stencils on their armor and vaginas that excrete menstrual blood.

For some reason I always have a little trouble with actors doing voices in video games. I’m one of those people who can pick out a voice after a few lines from a movie or TV show and know who that person is and what they’ve done before. I associate that voice with that character, and it’s always tied to it forever. It’s like Christian Bale did the voice in Batman Begins, and then he went off and did another action movie doing the same voice. Hey! Isn’t that Batman? Same goes for video games. I’ll probably end up playing Gears of War 3 when it comes out and wonder what in the hell Chloe from Uncharted is doing in COG gear.
