Two turntables and a microphone. That’s how you’ll roll in DJ Hero 2, coming this Fall. I was a big fan of the original game, so more tracks and more social elements will be a nice touch. To celebrate the announcement, Activision is dropping a free DLC track from June 8-14 on PS3 and Xbox 360 - Lady Gaga’s “Just Dance” mixed with Deadmau5’s “Ghosts ‘n’ Stuff”, a scratch and battle track from DJ Hero 2.

Some of the music you’ll hear in the new game includes Dr. Dre, The Chemical Brothers, Kanye West, Metallica, Lady Gaga, Rihanna and over 85 others. Couple that with DJ battles and Party Play, among other new modes of play, and you’ve got a solid sequel to what was a breath of fresh air to the rhythm genre last year.

Excited much? I am. Hip hop and turntablism are my favorite music genres. Hopefully Activision has the game in playable form at E3. I’ll be looking for a more precise turntable controller, particularly with the slider. Stay tuned as we get to see the game next week out in LA.
