PS3 owners – are you tired of waiting two whole days from when your Xbox 360 brethren get their content? Well, wait no longer. Starting May 4, the PlayStation Store will update on Tuesdays in North America and Wednesdays in Europe.

What this means for a lot of you out there is that you won’t have to wait two agonizing days from when your Xbox 360 friends get their Rock Band tracks or DLC packs. Sounds good, eh?

We don’t know for sure whether Microsoft will counteract and start releasing things on Mondays or if publishers will still try to release everything on Tuesdays here in the US. My guess is the latter and we’ll all live harmoniously, fanboyism will disappear, world hunger will be solved, and peace will come to the Middle East. Grandiose dreams? Sure. Will it ever happen? No chance.
