The recent events over at Infinity Ward are shaping up to be something out of a bad movie script. According to sources, the President and Studio Head of IW ( they are the studio behind Modern Warfare, both of them) have been let go for apparent insubordination. To top it off, apparently security guards are escorting people out and their office resembling something of Darth Vader boarding a rebel ship in search of a renegade Princess and a couple of gay droids.
No matter what happens, Activision is going to come out the bad guy here. People say that IW is not getting any royalties, and who knows if their agreement was not to have any. If that is the case, fire your fucking negotiator right now because everyone foresaw this game selling in record numbers. IW are the guys who brought us MW/MW2. Call of Duty is owned by Activision. I cannot see IW working for them ever again if this story is true. Are we ever going to see a MW3? Probably not.
What if Bill Gates sent a bunch of rent-a-cops to Bungie now that they aren’t owned by MS anymore, removed all the executives and was like, “So, when is the next Halo project coming out?” Yes, Halo is a MS property, but can you imagine anyone other than Bungie doing it? I’ve heard the rumors they are done with Halo and MS is going to develop any future Halo projects in house, which you know there will be several. The franchise is far too profitable to abandon. Bungie would reply, “Eat shit, I’m calling Sony.” Let’s hope the gamer is not the biggest loser after this is all done.

Perfect timing for IW to be able shirk any responsibility for the multi-player piece of trash that MW:2 is turning out to be. Poor, poor IW being bullied by the evil Activision empire. That's not directed at you Kohlbecker but I've already been seeing folks lining up to lick Robert Bowling's sack over all this and have been hearing about how this and the rest of this trash isn't his or IW's fault.
IW shoulda known better. the issue activision had with Harmonix should have shown all the other stiduos what they were really all about.
This is so stupid…. big company politics and the pawns(gamers) get screwed the hardest.
Hey Power Food for Zzz's what the fuck mw2 is fucking good and if you cant see that you are a shit head
o noes I r got called a name!
I'm not sure why I'm going to waste my time since basic comprehension seems beyond you but I'll give it a shot. Modern Warfare 2 may very well be a "good" game but "good" isn't what it was shoved down our throats as being. It was to be the end all of FPSs on the strength of it's multiplayer and instead their have been MAJOR glitch/hack issues and it has required patching/updating. Pshh, who needs beta testing?! The best part was when the PSN servers went down and IW via Robert Bowling told us that it wasn't patch related but instead that the servers were down and implied that it was the "3rd party" managing the servers that were to blame. The 3rd party? Demonware- purchased by Activision in 2007. Hey you go ahead and keep getting tea-bagged though, loser. I'll be over here grabbing it off of craigslist for "good" game prices…
MW:2 isn't trash, they put a lot into it to get people playing multiplayer for much more than ranking up. Now the game itself is to short (around 5 hours to beat it) but that goes for all of the COD games. IW made a ton of money and will continue to make it because COD is a big name among players of first person shooters so they could fire everyone and eventually build back because they have the backing to do so. COD will eventually die as a game because they are running out of content. It will also bounce back when a new gaming system comes out because they can redo their earlier content, like they have already done. How many WW2 story lines are there in CODs history? 4 of 6?
