Very often I read about news of game demos and content that come to the European PSN that we just don’t get over here in the hamburger filled USA. It doesn’t happen very often mind you, because most of it comes to the states a day or two later, but if you’re like me, and are impatient, you have to get that content as soon as it comes out. One way to do that is to create a separate account for the European PlayStation Network. How do you do that you might ask? Read on to get all of the juicy goodness of those fish and chip eating motherfuckers.
It’s basically just like setting up a PSN account for the US. You’ve done that right? Please tell me you have done that!
First, you create a separate profile on your PS3. This is simple and all you need to do is just add another User to your PS3 from the far left tab (where you go to turn off your PS3). This shouldn’t take more than a second or two to come up with another juicy name. I suggest “MCAnusExplorer”.
Second, you’ll need to sign in as the new User and proceed to link that User to an email and home address (no PO boxes). So what do you do if you don’t know a UK address? I’ll do that legwork for you. All the PSN is looking for is for an active postal address, that’s all. Just something to say that, “Yep, this person is in fact from the UK.” All you have to do is look up a business or flat number on Google and you’re set. I personally went on Google and searched for London Burger Kings. Yep, that’s right people. I used a Burger King as my PSN account address. Let’s hope they get some cool Playstation mail for me as they make big Whoppers. The address I used:
85 Gloucester Road, London, SW7 4SS, United Kingdom
Third, go through the process of creating your new European PSN name. I suggest GuinessDrinker234, or ShephardsPie24, FishNChips87, or Blimey91. All of these are good PSN names. Next, you’ll be asked for your address.
Now, after you do this you’ll probably be asked for an e-mail address. If I remember correctly, I was able to use my current e-mail address that is tied to my US PSN account. Trust me, Sony really doesn’t care. I don’t think I had to use one of my lesser used e-mail addresses, but if you do, it’s cool. You’re very close to being done.
After that is all setup, you’ll gain access to the European PSN store and all of it’s juicy content. There you will find a few demos that you won’t get here in the US, as well as a free EyeCreate program thats pretty cool to play around on your PSEye camera (if you have one).
The reason I am telling you all of this info? The upcoming PS3 exclusive game Heavy Rain is confirmed to have a European demo releasing on Feb. 11th (via a post in the UK Playstation Blog). No word yet on if the demo will be coming to the US, but like I mentioned before, you don’t have to wait anymore. You have your account now, so just go download and enjoy it.

Nice tutorial! I have accounts for UK and Japan so I can check out the fun stuff they have on their PSN Stores.
Great Article! Definately gonna do that but I might use the home of the Royale with Cheese
Cool tutorial! I don’t know why you mentioned EyeCreate, though…I downloaded that on the American PSN a year ago!

I have the original self-abbuse =D
i did this but can you get in trouble for this?
Gamerslayer – They really don’t care (at the moment). As long as you have a valid postage address from over there they think you are legit. Until they come up with better security and verification on the PSN account, this type of stuff will happen and you won’t get in trouble for it.
I personally think Sony wants us to do shit like this to boast their PSN numbers……(over Xbox Live).
Hey thanks for this! It really helped me to get a demo of Dragonball Raging Blast 2!!!
THANKS!!! YAY!
Awesome review. Needed this for the dam GT5 bonus cars! They get 5 additional cars!!!
