I would have voted Stranglehold, but I feel like it’s more action and third person shooter

Both the Stranglehold and Bioshock demos were really fun, but nothing compares to Halo. I can probably just rent Bioshock and Stranglehold from Gamefly, and pretty much get all the fun out of them I could. Halo has so much replayability and great multiplayer, not to mention co-op(which now has 4-players). Can’t go wrong with Halo.

I think that Halo is a bit played out. I mean if I’m going to look forward to a FPS, its going to be Bioshock or Stranglehold. Those are two games that are doing something unique, and I’m really looking forward to the immense plot that Bioshock has, along with the Art Deco style of the world.
Halo is good and all, but its coming out after school starts for me, and I’ve already played 1 2, and I just don’t see how much they can change in the game. We will see though. In the meantime, I will be playing Madden ‘08, Stranglehold, and Bioshock, along with eternal sonata when it comes out.

Couldn’t agree more. I’m looking for something new here, something innovative. I voted Bioshock.

I agree with the Halo played out thing somewhat. Everyone knows what they’re getting with Halo. There’s a couple more weapons, 4 player co-op, and some new vehicles… but the single player gameplay is going to be essentially the same as the first two games.
BioShock takes an entirely new approach to the FPS genre, which is what makes it so great. I’m calling it already… BioShock is a strong contender for game of the year.

@ Gears - I understand where your coming form but I was focusing on what would be out soon, as in hte next upcoming weeks. COD4 and MOA are both future music. As I said I know Stranglehold is not a true FPS, so really its what shooter you are going ot be playing.

@Kevin - This is what Taz was saying. UT3 will not be out for awhile. This list is about games that are coming out in the near future that we are looking forward to playing. Bioshock and Stranglehold are coming out in late august. And Halo 3 is coming out in late September.
I still think that Halo isn’t interesting because there really isn’t anything that we are going to be “wowed” at. With Bioshock, its a completely new thing thats never been done before, and so I’m going to be “wowed” at the 70 plasmids, and everything else in the game. With Halo, I know more or less what I’m going to get.

Bring on Bioshock… I’m gonna get this and Halo, and I’m sure Halo will be a blast, but I’m looking forward to Bioshock much more at this point. Stranglehold is gonna be right up there too, I’m sure…

I think I’ll rent Bioshock to try it out a bit more. The demo was pretty awesome and I really enjoyed it. Probably the best game out recently, so it seems to be worth checking out. Especially with all the amazing reviews going around.
Halo 3 is most likely going to be my favorite game. However, as far as FPS’s go, I’m looking forward to playing COD4 the most (wish it was in the poll) Halo 3 is pretty much just Halo 2 with new weapons, maps, equipment, etc. COD4 looks pretty different from the previous versions, so I really want to try it.
So yea…in short, Bioshock looks amazing, Halo 3 I’ll probably play the hell out of, COD4 seems to be a nice change in the COD series.
