Let me start off by saying this game was both a surprise and exactly what I expected, odd right? Well it was exactly what I expected in that they took COD 2 and tweaked it slightly, added better graphics, changed the levels and added some vehicles, really nothing to get too excited about. Where this game really shines and pleasantly surprised me is in the online multiplayer over Live. It has the standard deathmatch, team deathmatch, CTF, capture the base, etc. but the interesting part that sets it aside is the different unit types you can choose from. You can be a rifleman, light assault, heavy assault, scout, medic and support, each with different abilities, which prove useful and when used correctly by a team can mean the difference between losing and owning. The medic is my favorite, this gives you the ability to revive fallen teammates on the battlefield, and you start with a shotgun, I love using the shotty so this is a great unit type, plus it makes it more interesting to earn points by killing and reviving people. COD 3 was also smart by incorporating achievements for both the offline and online portions giving players incentive to play both.
