THQ recently announced WWE Smackdown! vs. Raw 2009 for all platforms under the sun. While not everyone is a wrestling fan, it’s tough to argue that the games provide a good bit of enjoyment, if not for the sheer pleasure alone of throwing someone through a table. The 2009 iteration looks to build upon the solid graphics and gameplay of 2008 with a new stable of wrestlers and a bevy of game modes to choose from.
NFL Tour, previously NFL Street shows off some of it’s tackling gameplay, too bad it is far from impressive. The game looks much slower than the Street versions and a lot less fun. The tackles looked pretty lame and were more about wrestling the offensive player to the ground. Tour looks disappointing for any Street fans out there, it looks like in an effort to make it more politically correct they took the fun out of the game as well and made it look like Arena football.

The demo weighs in at 1.21GB, so go download while you make breakfast or something. Showering might be a good idea (we can smell some of you through the internet… yeah, it’s that bad).
Not content with leaving WWE with the only wrestling video game, TNA: Impact is set to drop a wrestling title of their own on all next gen platforms.
I’m not a big wrestling fan, but this game looks like it could be more fun than Smackdown vs. Raw.
