Rev Run Promotes Wii Music

Reverend Run plays Wii Music? Looks like he does with his two sons and they have what appears to be a good time, although it is unclear how much of this is staged. Seems to me that the two little boys are a bit rehearsed and not natural, but Rev Run seems to be having fun with the beatbox and DJ instruments. This kind of proves the point that people that do not play video games will enjoy this, I am almost positive that Rev Run does not play many video games and even he will get tired of scratching on the ones and twos after a while.

Playing Video Games With a Legend

Recently Nintendo legend Miyamoto went to a school to teach young kids how to play Wii Music. He spent some time showing the children the different aspects of Wii Music and getting them all involved and interested in this upcoming title. It is actually incredible to watch how fast the kids pick up on the game and are off and playing. What the children do not realize is that they are in the presence of greatness and any adult gamer would love to be in their place, just think of playing video games with Miyamoto like playing catch with Babe Ruth, one of the true fathers of video games.

One very interesting thing is that Miyamoto has an elated look on his face at all times, you never once see him unhappy. He truly loves video games and although some people do not agree with the Wii and Wii Music specifically you can see that he is like a big kid playing it. Miyamoto never stopped smiling once, just look at Bill Gates in contrast.

Wii Music is demonstrating the ability to touch children and gamers of all ages, which is a great thing in my opinion. At first I would dump all over this title, but after seeing these children interact with it, I was amazed. Perhaps Wii Music will be the first game with a rating that states you must be “this young to play” or at least “this young at heart” to play.

Wii Music will not please many adult gamers, but it will by the looks of the children, grab and hold the attention of children. What better way to get children interested in video games than at an early age? The squeaky clean appeal of the game will not serve the hardcore market, but I will tell you that any parent with children will run out and buy this game and it will sell very well.

Hit the jump to watch the video and be envious of these children.

Let’s Tap - Debut Trailer

I think these developers actually made something worse than Wii Music, didn’t think that would be possible. Apparently the gameplay is entirely based off of tapping on a box which you lay your Wii remote on. Do you get a special Wii cardboard box to play? The games look weak at best with the best one being the running game, but even that looks to be quite repetitive. Why does the Wii continue to mock the motion controls it promised us would be so great?

Wii Music- Famicom

This game is just looking worse and worse! Wii Music is making a mockery of itself by making probably the stupidest things into instruments, the latest bit of stupidity is the Famicom? Since when does the Japanese Famicom constitute as an instrument? Why is the Mii holding the Famicom and blowing into it? We can only hope that this flops something fierce, but something tells me people will buy this piece of crud.

Wii Music Harmonica Oooooooh yeah!

Why do I torture myself with these videos? Better question why do they keep making these blasted videos. Just shows me more and more what I won’t be buying on October 20. This poor Japanese girl is being forced to play this crappy game over and over, she probably goes home and kills puppies to feel better after the shoots. Why does she need to hold the harmonica to her face and why even have a damn harmonica in the game?! Sigh! Watch as Nintendo infuriates me some more with this latest Wii Music clip.

Puppy Suit FTL

Wii Music is officially a running gag now. Anyone trying to take the game seriously just needs to look at this clip of this Japanese girl playing air puppy and realize what a joke this looks like. I still do not understand the premise of the game other than the never-ending quest for Nintendo to make fistfuls of money.

Wii Music better than any video game… ?

Wiid
Yeah your read the title right, this is actually what Miyamoto of Nintendo believes. During a recent exchange a reporter asked Miyamoto about Wii Music.

Wii Music doesn’t have high scores, goals or anything like that, isn’t it more like a toy than a videogame?

Miyamoto responded: Yes, that’s right. That’s why it’s more interesting than a videogame.

If interesting is the same as what this guy is doing you can count me out.
