In a one week span we get to watch Brad Pitt kill some Nazis and then take the helm as BJ Blazkowicz and use dark magic powers to kill them ourselves. I’m also excited for Raven Squad, which is a nice mix of FPS and RTS on the console. Otherwise, it’s a slow week for game releases.

With all the craziness Monday with our Madden review going out, I somehow completely forgot to post up this week’s game releases. And again on Tuesday because of… well, I don’t know. Anyway, as you all know by now, Madden comes out on Friday. If you don’t buy it, Scuba is coming to each of your houses to hit you with your own keyboard.

Last week was pretty crappy and this week is no different. We’re right in the middle of the summer drought in video game land, so save your money and get ready to drop it all on the big games later this Fall. The one game that could be decent this week is GI Joe, but what I’ve seen makes me very hesitant.

Yeah, I know, that’s from Street Fighter. I’m tired, I ran out of half & half so I can’t have coffee, and I couldn’t think of a King of Fighters reference. Being that’s the only game worth mentioning this week (other than digital titles like Fat Princess), your wallet can rest safe.

There is only one game this week worth mentioning: Wii Sports Resort. You get a nice little Wii Motion Plus and a solid reason to turn your Wii back on and stop just collecting dust. Otherwise, there’s nothing going on worth noting this week.

It’s time for football. EA drops NCAA Football 10 on stores this week and I have a feeling plenty of you will be picking it up. I usually skip out on NCAA and just get Madden, but this year may be a bit different. Not too much else this week, but Monkey Island could bring you back to the old days.

Not too many good games shipping this week. Battlefield 1943 is releasing on Xbox Live Arcade and the PlayStation Network, which is a good deal of fun based on the play time I’ve had with the game. The Bigs 2 drops and Street Fighter IV makes it debut on the PC. Otherwise, it’s a slow week.
