Remember the Halo 3 commercial “Believe”? The one where they made all those models and probably made a lot of fanboys tear up with the slow, sad music? Viva Pinata just pwned it. Check this out.

Viva Pinata Party Animals look to move abit away from the original version and move toward the realm of mini-games, 40 to be exact. Players can also play via Xbox Live now and pit their pinatas against each other to gather candy. The change to a mini game style game I think detracts form the original games appeal, this smells of more Mario Party clones.

Microsoft today released a demo of Viva Pinata on the Xbox 360 Marketplace. It weighs in at approximately 1 GB, so it should only take you a few hours with the clogged pipes of the Marketplace.
If you’ve never played this game, get the demo. No matter what you thought about it. It’s not too kiddy; it’s not too girly. The game is crazy fun. Check out our review. Would have been nice for a demo to come out around the games release, seeing the paltry numbers this game has put up. But then again, that’s Microsoft way…

Ok so I am done with the Old Spice challenge to raise my 360 gamer score by 1500 points and let me say this was a bit of a chore. I became obsessed with achievements and games just stopped being fun, but now it’s over and I can reap the benefits of cheesy merchandise from the sponsors. If you are interested in raising your gamer score very quickly here are three games to do it with:
NBA Live 07 - 750 points in a couple of hours easily.
Madden 06 - 1000 points in an afternoon, as long as you are patient and sim the 30 years of franchise.
Viva Pinata - 450 points for just playing the game, you can get it easily in a few hours.
Those three games will give you more than enough to raise your score for the challenge.
And if you need a hand getting those achievements just go here.

For a game meant for kids, I was shocked at how much I love this game! It’s addicting! At first I was getting really annoyed at all the explaining and cut scenes and stuff. I think they are a great idea, since the game is geared towards kids, and it gives them good direction on what to do. I’m told these go away the more you play. Beating things with a shovel is always fun, which is pretty much what you get to do at first. I have a bunch of plants and pinatas hanging out in my garden already. The little Romance Dance stuff is funny.
I honestly didn’t think I’d like the game this much. I can see myself putting a whole lot of hours into this one.
