This is the next chapter in the very informative and entertaining Warcraft retrospective. This segment will take us to where no one in Blizzard ever thought this would go let alone be this genre defining. It’s the end of the world… of Warcraft.
This is a pretty lengthy clip of Left 4 Dead, but it gives you a good idea of what to expect out of the game. I like the shadow effects in the game where zombies seem to appear out of no where, but there are some small issues I see already. I noticed while watching this that you can not control the computer AI partners, which will become difficult, you can see this during one scene where the player wants to move forward, but his three partners are stuck behind battling in a building. Also the shotgun seems to be very overpowered and can get one shot kills almost every time, making your teammates useless. I also do not see much team work being displayed during this clip, I would much rather prefer survival to be dependent on being smart and resourceful rather than just blasting through stages.
I knew that Kiefer Sutherland was casting his voice to the new Call of Duty game but I have to admit that I was surprised to hear that Gary Oldman was in it also. So it looks like Call of Duty 5 will have Jack Bauer and Syrius Black, not a bad duo to have yelling during your gaming experience. I may get this game just to hear Kiefer yell at me during battles while blowing things up, watch as both actors put their all into these lines and really deliver some fierce dialogue.
I just want Gary Oldman to yell out “Bring Everyone!”. Name what movie that line is from for bonus points.
The price of gas is going down and this is allowing more and more people to drive. There are some people who should not be allowed to drive, such as this lady. Worst trip to the convenience store for a 12 pack of beer ever.
There is an achievement for doing all 11 special executions in Gears 2. Each requires only a certain weapon and button press while you are with a downed opponent. To make things easier, a gamer made a montage of all the kills. You know how we feel about montages here. I like the torque bow decap the best of all.
You all know about the Flashback Map Pack and it’s use in discouraging used game sales. But how do the newly tweaks maps look? Check it out, then go play them. I’ll curb stomp you if you want.
I’m not typing this game’s name again for a while. Whew. The game is great, but the name is just entirely too long. Anway, check out this trailer of some insane combos that you’ll most likely never pull off.
Watch as this guy gets creative with the use of mines in Fallout 3 and manages to kill this one particular character and himself in some rather interesting ways. I never get tired of watching limbs fly off in Fallout except when they are mine. There are some funny clips where the old man is untouched and actually kills the player, I also get a kick out of the old man yelling “Brutality!” and then getting blown up. Enjoy.
The game is toned down, let’s just put that right out there. Mortal Kombat vs. DC Universe won’t be the blood spurting wonderland you’re used to, since this time the game ships with a T rating. That doesn’t mean the finishers aren’t cool, though. Check out some from Wonder Woman, Shang Tsung, and Superman,. I love how the DC characters get “Heroic Brutality” while the MK characters get the standard Fatalities.
Reverend Run plays Wii Music? Looks like he does with his two sons and they have what appears to be a good time, although it is unclear how much of this is staged. Seems to me that the two little boys are a bit rehearsed and not natural, but Rev Run seems to be having fun with the beatbox and DJ instruments. This kind of proves the point that people that do not play video games will enjoy this, I am almost positive that Rev Run does not play many video games and even he will get tired of scratching on the ones and twos after a while.
